Note: This story takes elements from Sonic X, and the comic books. It is set between Episodes 6 and 7 of Green Battle. Also like in my other Green the Hedgehog fanfictions, Chris is a girl.
Green Universe ARC 6
Dimensional Crisis Part 1: The past haunts the future!
Green had been called away from South Island, because of a crisis of great concern. The president of the United States in Northamer called for Green, because there was terrible news concerning the dimensions. Green went to the Thorndyke Mansion, where a scientist was explaining something she learned recently which could cause great trouble. The entire Thorndyke family came to the mansion that day, and Decoe and Bocoe were there as well because they started living with the Thorndyke family. They were glad to meet the teacher robot that Dr. Oliver Eggman made, because the robot was rebuilt into an assistant for Dr. Thorndyke. Chuck Thorndyke actually became a Professor over the course of events since he first met Green, and the Freedom Fighters.
Prof. Thorndyke was glad to be a professor, but that aside he was deeply concerned on the crisis at hand. "What exactly is going on?" Green asked.
"I think it's, better if Dr. Hayley explains her discovery." Prof. Thorndyke said.
"Thank you Prof. Thorndyke." Dr. Hayley said, she was accompanied by Christina Cooper who is one of President Bush's assistants. "Recently I have investigated dimension links and connections. And I've discovered something regarding the general location of Station Square and the surrounding areas all the way to the Mystic Ruins were people can safely explore. Apparently the dimensional barriers of the areas have weakened, what's more high levels of paradox energies were detected which made us discover that there is something big about the dimension we call Mobius Prime." Dr. Hayley said.
Christina Cooper helped explain. "In short, we learned that at some point in time a massive paradox happened which reset the timeline in our reality. As a result multiple dimensions were created, or Zones for short. These worlds have coexisted peacefully, but something happened almost two years ago which broke many dimensional barriers." Christina Cooper explained.
"Based on information we got. When Warlord Dr. Ivo Julian Kintobor Robotnik, fired a weapon called the Ultimate Annihilator it sent anything it hit minutes or even hours into the future. When it exploded it not only caused distortions to the barriers between dimensions… But time as well!" Dr. Hayley said, it was clear by her tone that she was serious.
Christina Cooper helped explain more. "Green here knows all too well what we're talking about. Many artificial pocket dimensions had the barriers between their world and our world destroyed, and as a result the long lost echidnas of Echidnaopolis, and the dingoes of the Dingo Regime came back to our world. And we've learned that Station Square and many of the surrounding areas were greatly affected by the paradox. Something pulled Station Square and the surrounding areas into a pocket dimension which happened almost six thousand years ago, but then it was pulled back which happened approximately three thousand years ago." Christina Cooper explained.
"From what I have learned. The Ultimate Annihilator has made the barriers weaken. Our only hope is to use Chaos Control to send the area, and everyone who had been exposed to the area for at least ten years into the pocket dimension that once existed. If we don't then within weeks, possibly days; all of time will come to a complete standstill" Dr. Hayley explained, in an urgently serious tone.
"This can't be real, it's all just theories right?" Nelson Thorndyke asked.
"It's not a theory son. This is real. And if we don't act fast, then time will come to a standstill and our entire dimension will be frozen in time. It could also affect other worlds in the multiverse as well." Prof. Thorndyke explained.
Everyone was in shock, especially Chris Thorndyke, because she knew that this meant she couldn't see Green or any of the Freedom Fighters again. She was upset, and just couldn't believe it, she believed that Dr. Oliver Eggman had something to do with it. So she ran out of the mansion, and took off before anyone could react. Mr. Tanaka apologized to the Thorndyke, because he was unable stop Chris from leaving the mansion.
Chris ran into town and found Decoe and Bocoe, who left to buy groceries for the Thorndyke Mansion. "I have to say living with Chris and her family has been fun." Decoe said.
"Yeah. We get all kinds of visitors, and we're treated very nicely. I can hardly believe for over a month we've had such a great time in our robotic lives." Bocoe said.
Then Chris ran toward the two, she told them she wanted them to take her to Dr. Oliver Eggman. They took her to a back alley because they didn't want people to know they worked with Dr. Oliver Eggman, and they were also frightened of the doctor. They then explained that they had no idea which base he was in, since odds were he could be on the other side of the globe. But she insisted that they did something, anything to help. So Decoe and Bocoe did what they could, they asked Chris to stand back and they merged, Bocoe's lower body went into his torso, and Decoe's upper body went into his torso, then Bocoe landed on top of Decoe's torso and the robots fused together. They were very tall robots, and Chris was amazed that they actually could fuse together into one robot. Bocoe then looked toward the sky, and activated a beam from his eyes.
It was; the Bokkun Signal! And within minutes, the Dark Chao known as Bokkun came flying and he laughed. "Oh great! What do you three losers want from me?!" Bokkun asked after he landed.
"I want you to take me to Dr. Eggman!" Chris ordered.
"No way kid. Taking a child like you to Eggman would be a waste time." Bokkun said, just then his stomach rumbled with hunger pains. "Oh! Eggman's cooking has been horrible!" Bokkun said. Since Decoe and Bocoe left, the doctor had been trying to cook for himself and Bokkun. Which didn't go well, because Dr. Eggman was a terrible cook, and he hogged all of the food he ordered from the Eggman brand restaurants at his territories for himself.
"How about we make a deal then?" Bocoe said.
"If you take us to Eggman, than we will fix you a nice and tasty dinner." Decoe said as he held up a can of chili.
"You've got a deal!" Bokkun said, as his mouth watered at the sighted of the food.
Bokkun then led Chris, Decoe and Bocoe to Dr. Oliver Eggman. Who was in a base located in the forests of Station Square, it looked like a simple building of his craftsmanship. The robots, Dark Chao and human entered into the doctor's base through the front door, and at first the doctor assumed that Decoe and Bocoe were trying to bribe him for their jobs back as his Lieutenants/Lackeys but claimed it wouldn't work.
"I came here because I asked them to take me here! Now confess! Admit you're the one behind the dimensions going wrong around the city! Admit it's because of you that the people, and me have to go back to that pocket Zone! You'd better undo the damage or else!" Chris said in a serious tone.
"Hmm… That's not a bad idea." Dr. Oliver Eggman whispered to himself. He then said in with a big grin. "You've got me kid! I did it as an elaborate hoax, so that Green and all the Freedom Fighters would be forced to leave Station Square!" Dr. Oliver Eggman lied, for his pleasure.
(At last! I knew it!) Chris thought to herself, she smiled with joy knowing Green wouldn't leave her. She then narrowed her eyes, and glared at the doctor. "I mean it Eggman! You'd better stop or else I'll… I'll!" Chris said, she was starting to realize what a big man Dr. Oliver Eggman is next to her and what little she could do.
"Or what? You'll throw a temper tantrum?" Dr. Oliver Eggman asked sarcastically, he then knew that he'd have the pleasure of bringing the crushing force of reality to the kid. "If you think that I'm behind all of this, than you're wrong." He said, Chris seemed shocked hearing that. "The truth is that my half-brother Julian's Ultimate Annihilator did in fact cause more damage to reality than any of us thought. And that paradox created from whenever time was reset across time and space, made matters worse for Station Square and about half of your state territories for your United Federation. The truth is that time will in fact stop, and everything will go on forever with no change. But we all know the real reason why you're upset about all of this." Dr. Oliver Eggman said.
"You're lying!" Chris shouted, she attempted to attack Dr. Oliver Eggman, but Decoe and Bocoe held her back for her own good.
"Stop Lady Chris!" Bocoe said.
"Don't try it Lady Chris! You'll just get yourself hurt!" Decoe said with concern.
"Face it kid, without your chum Green or any of the people in cahoots with him you're powerless. The only reason you had the gull to come here is because you know that you'll no longer be able to see Green!" Dr. Oliver Eggman said, this made Chris freeze in shock, she'd become more shocked as he continued. "You may deny it all you want, but the truth is that you know that you'll never see Green again after you and your people are sent into another Zone. Your high speed adventures with Green are over! That's the cold hard truth about the facts and reality of it all." Dr. Oliver Eggman said, as he sat down in a chair with his back turned to Chris.
Chris was no longer restrained, she almost began to cry. "Why…" Chris said.
Dr. Oliver Eggman talked while working on blueprints, he had a measuring device in his hands to measure out the measurements needed for his new machine. "You may be wondering why this has to happen?! Well that's life for you kid, life is full of disappointments and letdowns. One day you're out playing ball, and just when you've got your firm grip on the ball; life comes and smacks you down!" Dr. Oliver Eggman said as he turned and smacked the measuring device in his right hand, he then turned back to working. "Take it from someone with a lot of life experience. This is but one of many disappointing and sad truths of reality you'll have to face as you grow up. And we both know that as soon as Green is gone your life will go back to the way it was. You'll be lonely without any parents to always be there for you." Dr. Oliver Eggman said. Though the way he said it, made it sound like he was somewhat sympathetic for Chris not always having her parents around.
"No… No… No! It can't be!" Chris said, as she ran out of the base crying.
"Master Chris!" Decoe and Bocoe said with concern.
"Let her go." Dr. Oliver Eggman said, he clearly wanted Decoe and Bocoe back with him based on his tone. He was willing to let it slide that they were with his enemies for over a month. He then looked out and watched Chris run, he was feeling a little terrible he made her cry, especially after he remembered when he was El Grand Gordo and how his alter ego was her hero. He didn't want to admit it, but in that moment he felt terrible for being cruel to Chris. "I'm going to miss that kid….." he said as he turned back to his blueprints. "So long Chris…" he whispered to himself. He liked Chris because she reminded him a little of Maria, and because he saw potential in Chris.
Chris' family had wondered where Chris ran off to, and Prof. Thorndyke had reason to believe she ran off to confront Dr. Oliver Eggman. Naturally Chris' parents were terrified of the idea. However before they could send out any military forces to help the police in their search, Chris came home. And appeared to be alright, her parents were glad their girl was alright.
Green was glad to see Chris alright. He hugged her after her parents hugged her, and it was truly an important moment. Green hoped that it wouldn't be a very sad goodbye once he and everyone else who had to leave the Pocket Zone left.
What a shocker! Can the heroes find a way to send Station Square and the surrounding territories into the Pocket Zone so that time won't stop?! Find out in the next story.
