The promise
Rinoa ran out of the small capsule. Awaiting for him to hold her. To tell her everything was going to be alright. Even though she left willingly to go with the Esthar soldiers to conceal her from the world, from Squall because of her sorceress powers past down from Edea. To be more exact, Ultimecia. The citizens of Esthar thought that Rinoa might cause harm to their town and the whole world like their previous leader, Adel, an evil sorceress. Squall reached his arms out to his angel.
Everybody needs somebody who'll be there,
Someone to wipe the tears and make you smile.
So if you need someone that will not judge you when you fall.
No matter what you've done, my love will answer when you call.
Rinoa thought that she would never see Squall again. That thought brought tears to her eyes as she closed the gap between them in a tight embrace. The thought of never seeing Rinoa's face again made him come and save her. He didn't care if she was a sorceress. He only cared that she was with him, in his arms away from harm. Even though they both knew what trouble this might bring. Squall remembered what Rinoa had told him that day. 'Let's think about the present for now.' It was still fresh in his mind. He held Rinoa tighter to him. "Squall don't, I'm a sorceress." Rinoa sobbed, half whining.
"I don't care." Squall replied, still not letting go.
So after your heart's been torn to two
and you just don't know what to do.
After the rain has come and gone
and the sun still won't shine.
Rinoa tried to force out of Squall's hug, but couldn't. She just couldn't. She couldn't find it in her. Rinoa wanted to stay like this, in Squall's arms forever. She was afraid. Afraid of what people of her or what her friends thought of her. She couldn't think of her friends like that. They all love her and care for her. There was no reason for them not to. Even if she was a sorceress.
"We should head back to the Ragnarok." Squall said. Rinoa just nodded her head on his shoulder. She soon let go of Squall after a comforting embrace.
So after your friends have walked away
And you just ran out of words to say
After you've tried everything else, than try me.
Squall and Rinoa stood in the a field full of beautiful flowers and green grass. "Hey Squall? Can I tell you something?" Rinoa asked, interrupting the peaceful moment.
"Shoot away." Squall replied. Rinoa began to speak slowly.
"....Well, I had this dream that I was supposed to meet you somewhere, but I forgot where we were supposed to meet. We said we were going to meet somewhere." Rinoa turned around to face Squall. He thought for a minute, than came up with something.
"That's because we didn't promise." Squall answered.
"Huh?" Rinoa had a confused look on her face. Squall started.
"I'll be here."
"Why?"
"I'll be 'waiting' here."
"For what?"
"I'll be waiting for you for you..so If you come here... You'll find me. I promise." Squall assured.
" Thanks Squall! You really cheered me up." Rinoa gave him a tight hug as he hugged her back. It was decided. Squall loved Rinoa and Rinoa loved Squall. Nothing could stop their feeling's for each other......
