STAR WARS
JEDI YOUNGLINGS

The green lightsaber almost hit the shoulder of the Sith Lord, but it was blocked by a beam of red. The Jedi and Sith kept battling it out on Mustafar, lava spewing everywhere, making it harder to fight one another. The fight went on for some time until the Jedi was pushed towards the end of the cliff. One wrong move and the Jedi was toast!

''You made a mistake coming here, Jack,'' said the Sith Lord in a dark tone. ''Now you will pay!'' The Sith Lord used the force, hovering Jack above the lava. Suddenly, Jack's apprentice came up behind them and sliced the Sith Lord's hands off. The Sith Lord screamed but the apprentice showed no remorse. All he cared about was saving his master. The apprentice was only a beginner and wasn't too skilled in using the Force. All he knew was that the Force was in every living thing in the galaxy. The apprentice jumped off the platform, grabbed his master and threw him into the hangar, thinking that they would both make it out of Mustafar alive.

He was wrong.

Instead, while Jack made it to safety, the apprentice fall into the fiery lake below.

''NOOOOOOOOOOO!'' screamed Jack. Jack suddenly felt a sense of guilt. He had cared for his apprentice very much and treated him like a son of some sorts.

But now he was dead.

Master Yoda had told him that the boy was not trained for a mission like this, but Jack would not listen. All that was left of his apprentice was his blue lightsaber. Jack got up and took out his holoprojector to contact master Yoda.

''Master Yoda... Darth Zen has been defeated. I will bring him to the Jedi Temple for questioning," said Jack, raising his voice so Yoda could hear him over the roar of the fiery lake below him.

''Bring him to the temple, you should not. Take him to Kamino. Imprisoned there, he will be,'' replied Master Yoda.

''Yes, Master!''

Jack was about to turn off the holoprojector when Yoda interrupted him.

''Upset you look. What is wrong?'' Jack didn't want to tell him. But Jack knew Yoda well, and knowing Yoda, he could tell that he knew something was up, so he told him.

''Thomas, my apprentice... he sacrificed himself to save me,' sighed Jack.

''More to it, I sense," said Yoda.

Jack spoke up. ''It's just that, a lot of Jedi have been getting killed lately. I don't know what we can do,'' Jack explained.

''Worry, you must not. Sense the chosen one, I do. Train him, I shall. But for now, wait we must,'' said Yoda.

''Yes, Master!'' replied Jack, turning off his holoprojector. He stared at Thomas's discarded lightsaber. He then approached the weapon slowly and picked it up. ''When the chosen one approaches, this lightsaber will be passed on to them,'' Jack said to himself. He placed the weapon in his belt next to his own lightsaber and left with the defeated Darth Zen. "When the time is right... there will be balance in the force.'' Jack then headed to Kamino with his prisoner.
