Story Title: Misawa's Five Most Important Numbers
Characters: Misawa Daichi
Romance: Misawa x Taniya (just a touch)
Story Word Count: 500
Timeline: A general progression throughout the series, starting from season one.
Notes: This just hit me while thinking about Misawa, after watching some season three episodes. Again, it's written in the general 'Five Nevers' style but isn't really one of those.
Summary: There are five numbers that Misawa thinks are the most important of all.

Misawa was determined to be number one no matter what. That ended up meaning that he had to beat Juudai in a duel. That was what he was going to do, and he'd been working towards it almost since the start of the school year. He was certain that he was ready for it. And if he wasn't…he'd started all over again.

That was his goal, the top of the charts, where he could know that he was the best and no one else could ever stop him. Only then would he really be satisfied with himself.

One was perfect.

Even after she'd sent him away, Misawa had a soft spot in his heart for Taniya. He still didn't understand why she'd done it, but there had to be a reason behind it, whether he knew it or not. She was the most honorable person he'd ever met, and he didn't understand really why she was one of the Seven Stars in the first place. She was nothing like Camula or Darkness.

If it hadn't been for the Seven Stars and the Seven Spirit Keys, then they would have never met. Misawa thanked his lucky stars.

All seven of them.

Juudai. Manjoume. Asuka. Shou. Hayato. Five of the best friends that he had ever had. He could throw Kenzan in there too, though he hadn't spent that much time around the younger Ra student. But they did know each other. He guessed it still counted as five, since Hayato had left and Kenzan had arrived.

Misawa, quite honestly, liked having large numbers of friends. His eyes kept turning towards the Society of Light. There were so many of them…

Manjoume and Asuka were already there…maybe they knew something he didn't.

He had to know the truth of this, and fast.

He might be the third of three, but Misawa didn't care. He was at the top, or close to it. He'd reach the pinnacle soon, he had no doubts about that at all. But there he was, one of the three closest to Saioh-sama. He had all of the friends that he'd ever wanted. He had the entire Society, and just as Saioh-sama had promised, they all adored him. Especially the ladies. He very much enjoyed that.

Manjoume, Asuka, and himself. Saioh-sama's three lieutenants. Pure white perfection.

He wondered if Juudai was jealous of him. He hoped that he was…

Misawa sighed deeply in pleasure as Taniya ran her hands across his back. She teased a bit, sliding her fingers towards his chest, but didn't go too far yet. That would be for later. He loved this part of their day, and not just because it led into a very interesting part of their night. But getting massaged, to work out the kinks that came from their erotic adventures, was always pleasurable.

Of course, getting the kinks was every bit as pleasurable. He'd never imagined that his life could be this good, when it was just the two of them.

The End
