Said the miko to the taiyoukai, "I don't understand you. One moment, you toss humans aside like dead rice plants, and the next, you're being kind to the brother you hate."
Said the taiyoukai to the miko, "Have you never seen a flashflood in a mountain stream?
"To the man on the riverbank dying of thirst, it is a blessing. To the one caught in the middle of the riverbed, it is deadly.
"Yet the river has no malice and hence, no mercy. It simply fulfills its course."
And Sesshomaru flowed on in his course through the world.
