Okay, this was just kind of something that popped into my head during a commercial break while I was watching tv. Anyway...hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I obviously don't own Maximum Ride, especially since this could totally be applied to pretty much any story. :D
As I walked past mannequins standing stock still in store windows and displays of shoes that looked like some form of torture device, I tried to keep from gagging at the smell of so much perfume in one place. Left and then right I turned time after time searching for a familiar face in the hoards of people. Just as I thought I would never escape this labyrinth people dared to call a mall, I saw an exit. I rushed towards eagerly, almost tripping over my own feet in the process. Dodging through groups of tourists and cellphone stands, I made my way closer to my escape. With wild eyes and tousled hair I finally reached my destination: the clear, glass door that lead to the parking lot and the world beyond. People looked at me with incredulous looks on their faces as if to say 'What the heck is wrong with her?' Finally! I was within an inch of the door, my arms outstretched in front of me. One second before my hands touched the cool metal handle I saw a faded, peeling sign with one word printed on its blue surface.
Pull.
