Airi stared crossly at Naruto as he tried flirting with Sakura. AGAIN. His nativity pissed her off. How could someone be so oblivious to how much another person hates him? She crossed your arms in annoyance and Sakura glanced over at her "You okay Airi-chan?" she asked. The tiny kunoichi blinked and realized the both of them had stopped bickering and were looking at her. "Oh yeah I'm good" she replied. The three ninja were on their way to Rice country to pick up some antidote for Lady Tsunade. Airi was bored as hell due to the fact that there hadn't been one problem, it was all walking. "Sakura, can we stop? I'm sick of walking" Airi whined "Well I don't think-" she cut her off by running off the path into a nearby tea house. Airi slid into a chair and sighed. It felt so good to sit down. Naruto walked in and sat across from her "Where is Sakura?" she asked "scouting around the area. I wonder if they have ramen here?" he replied, looking around for a waitress. The two ordered odango and tea. They ate and ordered more and ate that too and Sakura didn't come back. "Well I guess we should look for her" the kunoichi said standing up and stretching "where could she be?" he muttered. She rolled your eyes. Couldn't he think of anything else but her? Well at this particular point in time it was appropriate, but still it was annoying. The duo spent three or four hours walking around the area before it started to rain. They took refuge in a cave, huddled next to a tiny fire Airi had made. By this time, she was overly irritated and starting to get hungry again. So when Naruto kept asking 'do you think she is okay?' or 'maybe we can go look for her now. Do you think the rain has lightened up enough?' She wanted to kill him. It got so bad that she just exploded "SHUT UP! STOP TALKING ABOUT SAKURA!" Naruto blinked innocently and squeaked a "what?" The fiery blond girl stood up and paced "I get so sick of watching you flirt with her when she wants NOTHING to do with you. I mean, why can't you see that? Everyone one else does! God it's like you're stupid or something!" She was about to continue but she caught a glimpse of Narutos face. He looked like he was about to cry "aw Naruto, I didn't mean it. I-" Naruto cut her off "That's what you think of me?" he asked quietly "No. I'm just...ugh..." her voice trailed off. "I'm sorry I made you hate me" he said "NO! I don't hate you. I just...It pisses me off to see you get rejected everyday and then go right back in for more. I mean, She punches you in the face, you would think you would be able to tell that she wasn't interested." Naruto sighed dejectedly "I know. But maybe if I keep trying she will like me back. At least that's how I think anyways." Airi's heart sank into her stomach "well how about going for another girl? One that actually likes you" She found herself saying. She blinked at the words that came out of her mouth. WHAT? "Huh?" he asked. oh god. What was she doing? "Well maybe I used to hate you for being so naive but maybe I had a change of heart a while back and quite possibly started liking you some time ago." By now the rain had stopped and Airi was sitting there awkward and silent. She stood hurriedly and walked out of the cave. Naruto caught up with her and stopped her. "Hey" he said smiling goofily. "What?" she muttered, avoiding his eyes. She felt his lips on her cheek and when she looked up he was walking away with his hands folded behind his head. "I could have a change of heart too, ya know"
