A/N: Yes, this is Makorra. I already ship them. The idea is from a picture called "Makorra Poke, NOW WITH PABU" over on deviantart by suiseiusagi.

Korra wanted to be alone. She couldn't meditate because whenever she did Avatar Aang either chided her for not getting airbending soon enough or asked her to tell Tenzin something for him or tried to suggest other ways to try to quell the anti-bender rebellion peacefully. Whenever he said that she wanted to scream at him that if it hadn't worked when he was alive it wouldn't work now.

She was pretty sure Bolin knew that she was in a mood and wanted to be alone. Spirits she'd seen Mako go into a "mood" at times and Bolin would just brush it off as Mako being Mako and it was probably a firebender thing. Bolin joked that you knew when it was going to rain based on Mako's mood: grumpy was just cloudy, broody and silent meant rain.

Head in her hand sitting a far away from camp as possible while still in sight Korra contemplated what to do next. Since punching her past life wasn't an option she had to come up with a way to make Aang happy (so she could meditate again without being pulled into the Spirit world for a 'talk'), master airbending, and deal with traveling with Bolin and Mako. Clearly all in a days work for the Avatar.

Lost in thought she didn't notice Mako coming up behind her and plopping himself down next to her. "Hi," he said. She glared at him.

"I told Bolin I wanted to be alone." She was going to offer to spar with Bolin and make sure she crushed him.

"He told me. He also sent Paboo and I to cheer you up while he plays with Tenzin's kids. I don't know why he sent me with Paboo but whatever," Mako shrugged.

"And yet you're here while you could have just dropped him in my lap and left."

"Where would the fun in that be?" He asked.

"You don't know the meaning of the word fun," she retorted.

"Of course I do. Bolin is my brother after all some of his antics have rubbed off."

"Such as?"

"This," he said while poking her nose. "Poke," he moved to poke her forehead. "Poke," on her cheek as Paboo head butted her side in his desire to be petted. She absentmindedly stroked his head while glaring at Mako out of the corner of her eye.

"Poke," he poked her check again.

"If you don't stop I'm going to freeze that finger and then break it off," she threatened.

"I'll stop when you smile." Paboo was helping as he began to purr.

"A smile is all it's going to take to make you stop?" She asked.

"On my word." She grimaced at him. "A real smile Korra."

"Oh this is stupid just stop so-" he changed tactics and kissed her. When he pulled away Korra noted the smirk on his face while she felt her's heat up. She also felt the corners of her mouth turn up in a small smile. She liked him and liked kissing him. She would never admit this to him though.

"I made you smile-ow!" She poked him in the gut.
