Based on a piece in one of the comics. '"I've never heard anything like it" she whispered, yet he heard such beautiful sounds everyday'. Reed reflects on his wife with the help of some music.

"You mind a little music before we go to sleep? Thought you might find this interesting." Reed's words sparked a flame of interest in Sue's mind, causing her to sit up slightly further in the bed, she and Reed had completely different tastes in music, her having grown up with Johnny had left her with a taste for heavy rock bands, whilst Red was more into calmer, older generations of music. She nodded, though with his back to her she knew he couldn't see, and so answered

"Sure,"

Reed smiled softly at this, pushing the CD tray back into the stereo and hitting the play button as soon as it had loaded up properly.

The room swiftly filled with sound. Beautiful. Profound. Sad. Fragile. He stepped over to the bed and climbed on, watching Sue sit up a little straighter, confusion in her expression at the strange music, and then she relaxed, her features softening as she settled back into the bed, and Reed pulled the covers over the pair of them, and wrapped an arm around her as she curled up into his side, her eyes closing, a serene smile on her face.

He loved this music. Knew as soon as he heard it that morning, recorded it onto H.E.R.B.I.E, and then onto disc, that this was something he had to share with some one, share with Sue, for this music reflected within it so much of her, the woman now curled into his side.

For she was so much like this piece; beautiful and profound. She was a strong woman, in body, soul and mind, and yet he often saw, and felt, that she was too sad, and altogether he found her to be, despite everything, too fragile.

"Reed," Sue whispered, her eyes sliding open now, that sad smile on her lips that she often displayed to him, one that revealed to him the hardships she'd been through; the death of her mother, the death of her father, the constant stupid stunts Johnny did that often got him nearly killed, all of this was shown in this small smile, and it almost caused his heart to break.

"It's beautiful," Sue continued now, pausing, pondering over he words for a moment "I've never heard anything like it. Where did you find it?" For a moment Reed did not answer, focusing on Sue's words, smiling inwardly, for he'd heard such beautiful sounds before, everyday in fact, whenever she spoke to him.

The music faded and died as he stayed silent, and left the pair holding each other close, lying in the dark, in the silence, and then he looked away from her, his smile faded, his mind straying to other thoughts.

"Someplace… very far away," he said slowly, thinking of the civilization he had watched grow and die that morning, hoping that they would last longer, that every moment with Sue would last longer

"Can you get any more of this?" she asked him, her voice a tiny whisper, and his smile slipped entirely, for he knew that like with the world, he would someday lose Sue, lose this beautiful woman at his side

"No," he whispered back "I'm afraid not. You seem they were only open for one day." He paused, his arm clutching her closer "They're gone now. All gone."

There was a long stretch of silence, and Reed thought that she had fallen asleep, and then her voice rang out softly, clearly

"That's such a shame," she said "So sad. But," she hugged him then, kissing the side of his neck before settling against his shoulder "We will have something to remember them by."

"Yes," Reed replied, and the smiled returned, and he lay for a long time after, listening to her soft breathing, and thinking, logging this moment into his memory, for he may lose the woman beside him in body, but she would last forever beside him in his mind.
