AN: This story just came to me while listening to the song of coldplay, scientist, the title really doesn't have anything to do with the story. Oh the story took place when Sakura is 18 and Kakashi is 32. This is just a random thought so please no flames. If you don't like it then don't read it. I'm still thinking about posting the next chapter, though i know this is not really that good, if anyone is interested then review. Thanks for reading. :)

The scientist

When he first saw her again it was raining, he didn't expect her to be standing in front of his apartment soaking in the cold rain. Wearing that thin dress she wears. Especially, he didn't expect her to say the next words that she uttered or the expectant look from her large doe like eyes. To say the least he was shell shocked when he heard the words coming from her mouth...

"Kakashi-sensei, I'm sorry, I'm wrong and I love you, please… can we go back to the start?" And after saying those hurried words that almost crash his world she literally jumped him, and from then on he knows that now he won't be getting his heart back in whole again if she decides to break it one more time. Though, when you thought of it, it had never been whole in the first place.

Now, he wonders if his heart is capable of being more broken that it already was. Will I surive it this time? Maybe he truly is growing old. Well nobody said it would be easy, but then no one said it would be this hard…

"Yeah, let's just go back to the start…" Can we really go back to the start?

Flashback

It was after her jounin exam that he first notice how much she has changed, how much she has grown, how powerful she has developed, and most importantly how beautiful she became. Well, its not that hard to notice that when you are looking at the once pristine training ground now turned into a barely recognizable piece of earth, after a flick of a hand from a once "harmless" little kunoichi that has been his student, once. He can't help the proud smirk the present itself in his face at the sight of his ex-student with that triumphant look of her face, large green eyes shining and a wide smile plastered on her face, as her teammates surround her for to congratulate her.

It had been a long time since he saw that shine in her eyes, well at least it came back along with Sasuke. Kakashi continuously watched from the background until she went with her teammates to celebrate, until all he can see is a blur of pink from the crowd. It was when everything started.
