COUNTRY GIRL'S SCOLDING

AUTHOR'S NOTE/DISCLAIMER

Belongs to Dick Wolf and NBC. Takes place during the beginning of "The F Is For" and references "I Am The Apocalypse".

Kelly couldn't tell if he was in Heaven or in Hell. He had gone from insanely hot to cold and wet. Wet. Okay, probably not Hell. But the darkness felt good. He didn't have any pain there. Painless was good.

"Oh no, City Cowboy. Not your time yet," a voice chuckled and he turned around.

"Chels," he grinned. Damn, she looks good, he thought to himself.

"First you jump on a grenade and now you pull this?" she chided, her eyes flashing with disapproval.

"In my defense, I thought we had more time," he stated.

"Yeah, yeah. You always say that," she responded.

"Wanna stay with you," he confessed.

"I'd like that too, but like I said, it's not your time, City Cowboy," she told him. She gave him a smile and then-he was coughing and his eyes fluttered open to see Shay and Stella looking at him worriedly.

"Kelly?" Stella asked.

"Casey, where's Casey?" he queried.

"He's fine. He's good," Shay assured. Chels. Chelsea? she wondered as she shared a look with the other girl. If it was the same name she had heard him mutter last time, there was definitely a story there. However, she knew that he wouldn't talk about it. After all, he hadn't last time and he was extremely private. Who's Chels? Stella wondered. Was she the reason he kept her in the friend zone? Wait. Not the right time for this. Without another word, she put a blanket around him and then focused her attention on her work.
