Sorcerer Deity
By Any Unborn Child
Some things were best left unsaid.
Some things were best left undone.
In the end…did it really matter?
Supposedly not.
At least…not according to Ashura.
In the end, things amounted to whatever they amounted to.
There was not much to do about what you could not change.
But that depended on if you really wanted them to change.
Other than that, he would relish the memory.
He had taken Fai him in. He had taken him in from his cold and unjust imprisonment. He had taught him everything they wanted to know about magic. He thought he could handle it. He thought he could handle taking on someone with so much potential and so much talent. The runes and the spells would come naturally to him. No worries whatsoever.
All he asked for a little bit in return.
A little respect.
A little honor.
Love, even?
No.
Goodness no.
Certainly not for Ashura.
What did someone like Ashura need with love?
He had his own glass castle to forsake and do with as he pleased.
What did Ashura need with love?
But somehow, nothing seemed right. Nothing had really seemed in place.
At least, not until Fai came along.
Fai became the light of his life. He ended up thinking about Fai constantly, even when they were in the same room. Even when he was teaching him more about the history of the magic he would be using in the future.
These thoughts began to consume him.
Consume his every action.
Consume his every dream.
Consume his every wish,
Every hope,
Every prayer.
Everything that Ashura could imagine.
All Ashura wanted to do was to be with him.
To be with Fai.
He would grimace at his own thoughts…
You were experiencing so much, with body and mind, because of me.
You were experiencing so raw of emotions, because of me.
You were only tainted by me.
Me, and only me.
Because you belong to me.
You should realize that.
They did not sound like him. And yet they did.
It all made very little sense.
But…if he was lucky…
Fai would surpass him.
Fai would kill him.
And the love, shown and otherwise, would be seen.
It would be there for all to see.
It would be understood.
Hopefully.
Il est venu le temps des cathédrales
Le monde est entré
Dans un nouveau millénaire
L'homme a voulu monter vers les étoiles
Écrire son histoire
Dans le verre ou dans la pierre
