'Look at you, look at mein this wild place, in this wild place
All that we have ever seenis this wild place, mmmh.
So don't go looking forthe days you've lostcause you've got so much more to give before you now, my love'
It was snowing by the time Hermione took over the watch at midnight. Harry deep in sleep. The sounds of the creatures scurrying around outside filled the air. Huddled up, she grabbed her wand and 'A History of Magic' to read by wand light.
"Lumos." She whispered as she flicked her wand, achieving a light at the tip of her wand. Hermione used the time to distract herself from bringing her mind back to the fight she witnessed between Harry and Ron. The one they both regarded as family, off on his own after spouting with disdain the lack of blood family, Harry has.
Though alive, she shared the feelings of missing family, having to erase herself from her own parent's minds to keep them safe. Hermione's blood started to boil, even if she knew the locket had influenced him, she was still angry at Ron as she started to remember but she shook it off, taking a deep breath before looking over at Harry.
Always on the run, burdened with the task Dumbledore had left for him. Ever since the day in the girl's bathroom their first year; She knew she could count on Harry to be there for her, so she vowed to herself to always be there for him. Even if it meant being on a seemingly futile journey.
'Cherish who you have to hold cause they won't always be there for you
Naked here and vunerable yeah you're fragile, and I am too. So don't go looking forthe days you've lost cause you've got so much more to give before you now, my love
In this wild placeIn this wild place...'
Her head peered up every now and then from her book to watch Harry toss in his sleep and to be alert at noises coming from the outside. Finally, Harry had gotten up in the darkness and joined her. The snow was still falling thickly, and she greeted him with a soft smile. She nodded in agreement at his suggestion of packing up early and moving on.
"We'll go somewhere more sheltered," she agreed, shivering as she pulled on a sweatshirt over her pajamas. "I kept thinking I could hear people moving outside. I even thought I saw somebody once or twice."
She then suddenly looked him over and placed a supporting hand onto his shoulder, then moved it to his face, checking on his illness. The locket had done some damage while he wore it when they were attacked earlier on their trip into Godric's Hollow. Seeming better, she softly sighed a sign of relief then looked him in the eyes and whispered. "I've got you, Harry."
A soft smile grazed his lips and he nodded her way as they got up and started packing to move to their next spot.
So don't go looking forthe days you've lost cause you've got so much more to give before you now my love... my love.
