Title: Interrogation from Hell
Author: Rose Raven Riddle
Disclaimer: Torchwood does not belong to me, no matter how much I wish it did. Gloria belongs to gone4good22, Rayne belongs to me. Enjoy!
A/N: Also, you may not recognize the reference to Cobra Starship ("I make them good girls go bad"), but I was listening to it while finishing it up and couldn't help using it for Jack.
Gloria slammed the folder onto the table. Ever since Rayne lost the Doctor, in their own building, the pressure was being placed upon everyone else. The boss was behaving like a tyrant, watching over everyone like a hawk. A very bald and shiny hawk.
Gloria was assigned to be Rayne's supervisor, making sure to train her in the ways of proper interrogation tactics. As though the spawn of the devil needs training in making others' lives hell.
She looked at the man in front of her, his eyes looking up at her in confusion.
"Do you know why they dragged me here?"
"I believe it had something to do with the fact that you killed a man and then pulled something out of his…" She trailed off reading the information in front of her, "You pulled what out of where?!"
"In my defense…he stole my keys."
"How is that in your defense?"
"Well, without my keys I can't get into my—tree house, yeah, let's go with that. Without it I can't go into my tree house."
Obviously this man was missing something up there.
She adjusted her glasses, "the report says you have a weapon in your possession."
"Let's not worry about meaningless things."
"Unfortunately, it's my job to worry about it."
"Well in that case, I've stored a compact laser deluxe somewhere you really don't wanna know."
There was silence; she swore she heard laughter from the other side of the mirror. Rayne was dead.
"You know what?
"What?"
"I make them good girls go bad"
She rolled her eyes, this conversation was going nowhere. She pulled out the evidence bag which contained the weapon.
"So what exactly is this?"
"A sonic blaster."
"So, it blasts things? Like a gun or something?"
"More like, a music player, Sonic meaning sound and blaster…." He trailed off, unsure of how to continue that excuse, "Say, has anyone told you how pretty you look when you look annoyed and as though you're going to kill someone?"
"I do believe you're the first." She forced a smile, wondering how much more time would pass until she would be pulled out of this.
"Well it's true. In fact, if you're not doing anything after this, would you like to go for a drink?"
There was an odd feeling, as though a little voice was screaming at her to run far far away from this strange man.
There was a knock at the door, it opened to reveal a man, slightly taller than herself, wearing a suit and carrying a cup of coffee.
"I'm afraid, ma'am that you have no right to hold Captain Jack Harkness here."
"That's alright, mister…"
"Jones, Ianto Jones."
"Mister Jones, you may take him with you, we were quite done."
"Thank you, Miss Harper."
"Excuse me," She stopped him while they were exiting the building, "would you be willing to accompany me to the pub, for a drink?"
Next to him, Jack walked into the door, which in turned caused him to pass out.
