His Greatest Fear
Summary: Zuko experiences his worst fear.

First is the earth chakra, located at the base of the spine, it deals with survival and is blocked by fear.
The night was dark; even with the full moon out; the night had a dark feel to it. Katara, Sokka, Aang, Toph, Iroh and Zuko were all by a fire, bright and warm.
"I don't know why we have to travel with Fire Nation!" Sokka complained for what felt to be the one thousandth time.
"Sokka," Aang said, annoyed, "I told you! We need representatives from each nation; otherwise there'll be no balance in this gang!"
"I still don't trust them!" Sokka said, unaware that the two fire nation representatives were listening.
"We can tell each other our greatest fears, that'll help us with trust!" Katara said
"OK!" Sokka cried in a defeated tone "I'm afraid of spiders! They're just so creepy!"
They all told each other their fears, only Toph's fear is obvious, nothingness, (underwater and space) the others are for you to figure out, well all but one's, Zuko he was last.
"Come on Zuko" Aang said when Zuko wasn't saying anything
"Yeah, Zuko, I have never heard of what your greatest fear is" Iroh said looking at his nephew
Zuko knew his greatest fear, however, it was too complicated to say; he was afraid of being alone, not alone by choice, alone by force.
"I don't have a greatest fear!" Zuko lied
"Really" Aang said wide eyed
"Yea"
"Come on!" Katara scoffed "Everyone has a greatest-" she was cut off, the fire went out and it was pitch black!
Then, they heard a blood curling scream.
"Everyone stay calm!" Aang shouted "Zuko, Iroh, can you please shed some light on the situation?" He said calmer
The fire was then burning bright in the fire pit, they were all there; except for…
"Hey" Sokka said "Where's Katara"
They all looked around, Katara was no where to be found.
"We better go find her" Aang said as they all stood up "Momo, Appa, you two stay here!"
They were walking through the deep dark, creepy woods near their campsite; they heard a howl then a scream then nothing
"Sokka?" Aang said
"He might be back at the camp site" Toph said
So they went back, when they got there, Appa and Momo were missing!
"Oh-" Aang and Toph vanished!
A woman from afar had them all hostage experiencing their greatest fear, smiling, she said "Then there were two"
"Uncle," Zuko said "I need to tell you that my greatest fear is," Zuko looked around, no Iroh, "Oh no!" Zuko moaned.
He then heard something, a rustle in the bushes, he looked up hopefully, but it wasn't anyone e knew, instead, it was a woman with long black hair and warm brown eyes, she then said "Hello, Zuko" she said
"Hi" he said looking at her "Who are you?"
"I'm Kyoofu, the spirit of fear" she said "now, I know everyone has a greatest fear, and I know them all but yours,"
"That's because I don't have one!"
"Oh yes you do! You just don't want to say it!"
"But I don't have one!"
"Say it or you'll never see your friends again!" Kyoofu boomed
"Fine I'm scared of being alone!" Zuko said barely audible
"But you were alone for a while remember?"
"Not alone by choice," Zuko said "Alone by… alone by force"
"Interesting!" she said walking away, Zuko still on his knees "You'll get your friends back" she then vanished
He then heard a rustle in the bushes, so he looked up, and saw that Katara, Aang, Sokka, Toph, and his uncle where coming out of the bushes, Aang was the first to notice Zuko in the dirt on his hands and knees.
"Zuko" he said as they all ran to him "what's wrong?"
"My greatest fear is…is…being alone by force!" Zuko cried
"It's OK now though" Sokka said as a group hug began "we're here now"
"I know that" Zuko said happily, as he felt Momo curled up on his head and a lick from Appa, "I know that know"
