As he drove away, she found herself remembering everything. The day they met, how he revved his stupid truck and scared the horses. She really did hate him as soon as she saw him. He thought he was so cool and it pissed her off. The first time they together on a horse, his insight giving her a breakthrough. The first time they really acted like friends, at the open house. Their first hug and how he made her feel as he told her he believed in her. Their first kiss after she won the horse show, electricity flowing between them. Finding him gone right after that nearly broke her in half.
Then he came back. She was still furious and hurt, but couldn't deny the feelings she still had for him. It took over a year for them to get together after that, other people getting in the way. Then came their first "I love yous". She broke out of her reverie and realized she couldn't let him get away from her. She had to tell him how she felt one more time before it was too late. Racing to her horse, conveniently tacked up nearby, she galloped after the truck, yelling his name repeatedly. As he opened the door, she launched herself into his arms. In that moment, she knew one thing. They would be together again. Nothing could keep them apart forever.
