The title of this story is a reference to the post-Final Fantasy VII side-stories.

You tried to kill me a few times, actually... but ever since that day we met, I couldn't get you off my mind. There was something in the way you moved that made me wanna keep you interested. Maybe it's 'cause you're beautiful. Maybe it's 'cause you're fucking deadly, and I love it.
Maybe it's because we both know how it feels to be alone and confused when you hit rock bottom. Maybe it's because you don't give up when all hope is lost and you keep climbing 'til you reach the light.
