Wolf looked up at the stars as he lay outstretched with his hands behind his head. There were so many of them and the night was so clear that he could see every single one of them. His eyes reflected back the stars and his eyes seemed to sparkle. He could feel his heart race and his blood race through his veins as young Wolf looked upon the nearly full moon. Soon he would transform. He howled. His lips made an 'o' shape. The howl turned into a song.

"Stay low soft, dark, and dreamless

far beneath my nightmares and loneliness

I hate me for breathing without you

I don't want to feel anymore for you grieving for you

I'm not grieving for you

nothing real love can't undo

and though I may have lost my way

all paths lead straight to you…1"

Wolf stood up. He began to run through the clearing. His eyes saw everything so clearly. It was amazing and frightening at the same time. He hated that he was so vile every month, but Wolf felt true to himself when he was in his animal form. Wolf ran until he could not run anymore. Stopping, the young man placed hands upon his thighs.

A scream suddenly filled the air. It was his mothers! Wolf sprinted towards it and stopped when he reached a horrific sight. His home was ablaze and the townsfolk surrounded it, chanting evil words.

Haltered filled Wolf's heart and his eyes turned from brown to amber. He marched onward and stopped when he saw a lamb. Snarling, he pounced and bit the sheep, killing it instantly. His animal instincts had taken over.

"It's true, we're all a little insane
but its so clear

now that I'm unchained

fear is only in our minds

taking over all the time

fear is only in our minds but its taking over all the time

you poor sweet innocent thing

dry your eyes and testify

you know you live to break me- don't deny

sweet sacrifice…2"

He sang as he ate the poor creature. After devouring the beast, he was so numb – he was an orphan. He did not even notice or fight when Wolf was taken into custody for his sheep eating.

As he sat in his cell at Snow White Memorial prison, he regretted what he had done. Wolf looked lost and dejected. The young man did not know what to do. He looked out his barred window. The moon sat in the sky, mocking him.

"Lithium- don't want to lock me up inside

lithium- don't want to forget how it feels without

lithium- I want to stay in love with my sorrow

oh but God I want to let it go…

I can't hold on to me

wonder what's wrong with me

Lithium- don't want to lock me up inside

lithium- don't want to forget how it feels without

lithium- I want to stay in love with my sorrow

Don't want to let it lay me down this time

drown my will to fly

here in the darkness I know myself

can't break free until I let it go

let me go…3"

Tears streamed down his face. His body shook from crying. Oh, what had he done? It was horrible what he had done. He had screwed up and there was nothing he could do about it. The moon was a horrible thing. He hated the moon. He hated himself during the moon and what a horrible beast he began. He wished that it would go away, but Wolf knew that it would never go away. There was no helping him. He would always be a monster in the eyes of everyone else, but what he did not know was that someday, he would find someone who loved him for who he was and was not afraid of him after she had gotten to know him. If Wolf had known the future, he would not feel the way he did, but there was no way for him to know and he sat there wallowing and regretting all he had done and wondering why.
