"It felt so real, I'm scared to go back to sleep!" A shaky voice squealed into Rainbow Dashes telephone.

"It was just a nightmare you'll be okay." Rainbow Dash mumbled, rubbing her eyes. It was three in the morning and she had been pulled out of sweet dreams by the disturbing rings echoing from her cloud shaped telephone.

"Pinkie, do you need me to stop by and check on you? You seemed pretty freaked out." She asked.

"Y-yes" The whimper made Rainbow Dash bubble up with sympathy for her friend.

"Alright on my w-" before she could finish Pinkie began to sob quietly. At that moment Rainbow Dash knew something was really wrong, she had never heard Pinkie cry.. Ever.

Soaring down to the little bakery Pinkie Pie lived in took less than two minutes. Rainbow avoided going through the Sugar Cube Corner, in fear the Cakes would be disturbed, so instead she crawled quietly through her friends bedroom window.

"I'm glad you made it here so quickly, I need a hug" Pinkie stood close to the window making sure Rainbow Dash got in safely. The pink ponies mane drooped over her eyes, for it had fallen into her depressed hair style.

Rainbow Dash saw the fear in her best friends eyes and she swore she could feel her heart crumble a little. Without hesitating she bear hugged the bright pink mare. The hug felt like it lasted for hours.

Pinkie pie started sobbing quietly with small tears rolling down her cheeks. She cringed with the replaying images from her nightmare running through her brain, over and over again.

Without breaking her grasp Rainbow cooed "it's okay, it was just a dream. shhhh, I'm here now." and more little choking cries escaped Pinkies petite mouth.

Just as Rainbow was about to let go Pinkie held her tighter "I'm sorry dashie." She cried. Her voice sounded small and quiet. Rainbow froze for a moment before snuggling her muzzle deeper in a waterfall of soft, straight, pink hair.

Rainbow dash squeezed tighter.

"It's okay, it was only a nightmare."

"I love you.." Pinkie pie whispered under her breath.

"I-I love you too.." Rainbow spoke back.

The two mares faced each other with twinkling eyes. Rainbow reached her muzzle closer slowly letting her eyelids rest. Her lips open, puckering just a bit. Pinkies cheeks start scorching a bright red.

They're lips meet one another, sliding smoothly with thick saliva. Their air sucked away by the power the kiss had over them, Almost as if it were a force that drew them together. They finally tore away from the lock they had on each other after several minutes in absolute heaven.

Rainbow whispered softly to the gorgeous pony she held in her arms "It was only a dream.."
