GUYS I'M RESTARTING THIS FINALLY! Y'ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF ME!
I only own Xavier. Other people own these other crazy characters. You know who you are.
I had always wondered why the rich people hated us poor people in District 7. I mean, they had everything, why would they hate us? I always thought it was stupid until I met a girl named Blake who was the eventual cause of the greatest thing that ever happened to me. My death.
I ran into a girl named Aurora about a week before reaping day, "Oh! I'm sorry." I told her as nicely as I possibly could.
"Hi..." She eyed my wearily, as if I'd hurt her.
I smiled not unkindly at her, "Don't worry, I don't bite too hard. What's your name?" I asked.
"Aurora. You are?" She raised an eyebrow at me.
"Xavier." Yes, I know it's a boy's name, just trust me, I'm a girl.
Aurora was about to respond when a girl with a snobbish voice butted in.
"He's a creep, I wouldn't hang around him too long." She even looked like the definition of rich bitch, hair extensions and everything.
I breathed through my nose and tried to keep my temper under control. "Unless you're blind you can clearly see that I'm a girl and I'm not a creep." I corrected her.
"Could've fooled me on both accounts." She flipped her extensions in my face.
That was it. Goodbye nice-ish Xavier. I had started to lose my temper. "I hope you enjoy those pretty extensions that your dad bought you." I said through gritted teeth.
"I do," she said, "and I hope you enjoy starving, I bet it's all you're good at."
"I'm going to do you a favor and pretend I didn't hear that." This girl was seriously getting on my nerves.
"Why pretend?" She flipped her hair again. "My daddy paid good money for them, they're from the Capitol."
I grinned with an idea, "So it's from a dead tribute?"
"You heard about that too?! It's from that girl from District 1, the blond who made it to the final four." She pet her hair.
"Glimmer, right? Well, I hope she comes to haunt you." I smiled, enjoying the fact that I was freaking the girl out.
She tried to laugh it off, "You don't think that could happen, do you?" She pulled out her extensions, suddenly scared of something that didn't exist. "She was pretty terrifying."
I laughed and walked away.
Of course at that time I didn't know that the rich bitch was Blake, or that she'd pretend to be me and get me a huge amount of tessare (20 of them) which would set in motioin the train of events that would later be called my life.
