"Please, Jules? Can we adopt him? I'll take really good care of him! Please?" Shawn holds up the tiny pug in front of Juliet.

"I don't know, Shawn. I'm not so sure we have the time to care for a puppy."

"C'mon, Jules. Of course we have time for this handsome animal! I can always come home during the day from the office and take care of him! He can even come stay with me and Gus in the Psych office! Just look at his adorable pug face! Pretty please with pineapple on top?" Shawn squishes the pug's face to his.

Juliet takes a good, long look at the puppy. Shawn was right, he did have an adorable pug face. Perhaps they could take care of a puppy. He could hang out with Shawn and Gus during the day, and she could go visit him on her lunch breaks. And both she and Shawn would be with him at home after they were done with work. After all, they had been talking about getting a puppy sometime soon, a pug to be exact.

Watching Shawn play with the pug, she notices a look of amusement, and adoration on his face. They hadn't even adopted the pug yet, and already her boyfriend had become attached. If he could manage to take care of a dog, maybe he would be good with the kids they were definitely having in the future. This could be like a practice run.

"So, what do you say, Jules? Can we adopt little Pineapple here?" Shawn gives her his best pouty face, and puppy dog eyes. Juliet looks at him for a second, then the puppy, and sighs.

"Okay, okay. We can adopt him."

"You hear that, Pineapple? Jules says we can take you home! Thank you, sweetie!" Shawn bounces toward her, and plants his lips on hers.

"You're welcome. But," Juliet rubs the pug's head. "We're not naming him Pineapple."

"Aww, c'mon, Jules. He's already attached to the name! Don't worry, Pineapple. Your mommy will come around. I can persuade her. Let's go get you adopted!" Shawn heads to the front of the store with the pug in his arms.

Juliet watches him go with a smirk on her face. Shaking her head, she starts to walk toward the front where her eager boyfriend waits with the new addition to their family.
