It was finally time for Tohru to leave with Kyo, to go to the mountains. To start a new life with him. This is what Tohru truly wanted. All the Sohma was there, including Tohru's two best friends, Hana and Uotani. At the station, the train was coming to a stop for their leave.

"Tohru, don't forget us." Hana and Uotani said, closing on a group hug. The two girls backed away, leaving there friend to start her new life.

"So, you're leaving?" Ayame asked. "Well, thank you. Thank you for bonding me and Yuki closer together. The snake is no longer in me, because of you." Ayame smiled and patted Tohru on the head.

"And you, Kyo. Treat her well, you silly cat." Ayame rubbed Kyo's hair. Kyo laughed.

"I will."

"Well, good- bye." Hatori whispered.

"Come on! She's leaving say something more!" Shigure said, jumping into their conversation.

"What can I say?" Hatori asked. Tohru giggled. "Don't trouble yourself."

"Never mind him. Thanks for making me behave Tohru. I truly will miss you." Shigure gave her a quick peck on the forehead.

"And Kyo, I told you. You did beat Yuki in something, didn't you?" Shigure smiled. Kyo looked flustered.

"Onii- chan…." Kisa whispered.

"Kisa!" Tohru said, giving her a big hug. "Hey, Hiro!"

"You're such an idiot." Hiro said, crossing his arms.

"Well, I'll see you soon, right?" Kisa said.

"Anytime!" Tohru smiled. "And, Hiro? Good luck!" Hiro blushed, with no witty remark.

"Kyo! Don't leave me!" Kagura cried.

"Great lor-"

"Tohru!" Kagura demanded.

"Yes!" Tohru exclaimed.

"Thank you." She gave Tohru a huge hug. "But if you ever hurt Kyo…"

"Don't worry. I won't." Tohru said. Kagura smiled.

"I'm so sorry!" Ritsu exclaimed. "I'm sorry I am ALIVE!"

"Shut your trap." Kyo said.

"Bye, Ritsu-san." Tohru said. Ritsu smiled. "You will be missed you know?"

"And you will be missed too." Tohru said, hugging him.

"Sorry for the trouble I have caused." Kureno said. "I just think that you are a wonderful friend to Uotani." Tohru smiled.

"I'm sure you are special to her too."

"Tohru, thank you for getting me through my hard times." Akito said. She looked so pretty with her flowered dress.

"Akito. I truly think you are a great women." Tohru said. Akito smiled.

"Tohru, I just want to say that Rin is sorry for being angry. It is my fault." Haru said. "But, for myself, I want you to stay. Is that selfish?"

"Yes." Kyo said.

"Tohru. I just want to see you again, okay? Because you are such an idiot." Rin exclaimed.

"Alright! I look forward to it!" Tohru said.

"Tohru…" Momiji said, giving her a hug. "Thank you." Momiji smiled, but his eyes showed hurt.

"And Kyo, if you hurt Tohru…" He came closer, and whispered in his hear. "I'll take her away." It sounded more of a hopeful statement then a threat.

"Don't worry. I love her. If I hurt her, than I can't be truly happy." Kyo said, sounding defensive.

"That's good. I hate seeing loved ones get hurt." Momiji finished, with a sad look on his face.

"Well, is this goodbye?" Yuki said.

"Yeah, you stupid rat." Kyo said. "But….I think it' time we go. Our train is here."

The train whistled.

"Tohru, I just want to say thank you. I truly will miss you, my first friend." Yuki said, a playful smile on his face.

Tohru smiled. "I will really miss you, too. I loved the way you could cheer me up."

"I think it's the other way around." Yuki stated.

As Kyo and Tohru boarded the train, and waved goodbye, tears rolled down Tohru's face. She felt sadness.

Because to her, this goodbye felt like forever.

Kyo hugged her and whispered, "We're going now.", a smile plastered on his face.

Of course, Tohru thought.

Happiness can't last forever.

But the memories can.

And that was her happiness.
