Warnings: None though you need to have seen Frontierland to get what I'm on about!
Summary: Sam the super-researcher makes an interesting discovery and sets out to cheer Dean up
The image was faint, almost faded away in the old sepia photograph, but still recognisable.
Sam smiled as he waited for the library printer to churn out the copy.
"What's this?" Dean asked, as Sam slapped the photo down in the way of his hand, outstretched for the whiskey glass. "Not another freaking case..?" His complaint trailed off as he looked closer.
Sam waited patiently for the penny to drop.
"Wait a minute, that's …"
"Yup. It's the Phoenix, at the hanging."
"And so, that's really us, right there?"
"Uh huh."
Dean's grin was like the sun coming out.
"Awesome!"
