So I am back! I wrote a very short fanfic and I hope you like it. It is something I stated long ago, after that elevator scene with Omelia. It the second version of Mama saw it all, with mama Hunt instead.
Oh Mama
From all the people in Seattle it has to be her, from all the places she had to be in that elevator and from all the people it had to be his mom in that exact moment.
Of course it was her, she did it since he was fourteen. The first time he kissed a girl and his mom showed up. That's why going to collage was so great, but now he felt the same as he felt as a kid, Amelia Shepherd in his arms, they are kissing passionately and then his mom is showing up.
"Hello Owen" Evelyn said trying to hide her smile, she was standing next to the now open elevator doors, Owen believed they pushed the button that stopped it from moving while they were kissing since now the alarm was off and the doors were open for everyone to see them, especially his mom.
The doors started closing in front of the frozen couple and the same thought run through their minds the same time 'letting the doors to get closed to avoid the whole situation'. Evelyn had another idea, and she pushed the opening button.
"Mom?" Owen was still shocked, then he realized that he was here and got worried "what are you doing here? Is everything all right?"
"Oh honey everything is just perfect, I was getting a regular checkup and everything is good and now I also have some hope to actually have some grandkids before I die" She said with a mischief smile while waving her hands dramatically and looking at Amelia with a meaningful look.
Amelia blushed and opened her mouth but the closed it and looked at Owen, not sure how to respond.
"Well I am glad to hear mom" Owen said and moved his hand through his hair.
"I was looking for you to say hello but now when I think about it, I can eat dinner. How about you Amelia?"
Owen knew his mother too well, and knew he better keep Amelia away from her when she is in that good mood or Amelia will have heart attack when the older woman will start joking about good school district houses with a big garden "So Amelia, are you taking Meredith's kids from day care today?"
"Right" Amelia whispered with relief "was very nice seeing you again and goodbye" she got signed to Owen with her head and he stepped out letting the doors of the elevator to close, not before he turned to face Amelia and smile at her.
"Letting her go so easily?" Evelyn asked.
"I am not… I am not letting her go"
"I hope so" She said and took his hand in her hand "because if you're letting her go, and you love her. You will regret it, maybe now it will look like the easy way but eventually you will see how wrong you were".
"It's not like it's only my decision, she's so diff…" He tried to defend himself.
"Is she worse it?" Evelyn asked quietly.
"Yes" Owen said, his voice almost silenced by his own feeling.
