A New Me

I remember Jimmy would always tell his dad that they needed to have a talk, and unfortunately we never saw their conversation. So I thought I would write how I would like to see their conversation. I do not own Degrassi in any shape or form.

Honestly I can't believe the way you are treating me.

I mean I'm in a wheelchair and you act as if nothing happened.

I'm sorry I don't want to be the person that you want me to be.

But I will have to be the person I see my self becoming in the long run.

I got shot and I accepted that, maybe you should accept that.

I won't be playing basketball, because I can't be the basketball star anymore.

Dad I know how you want me to feel like nothing happened.

The thing is you can't expect me to forget what happened in that hall way.

I don't live for you I live for me, so please let me be.

I don't care if you like how I gave up on something you wanted at all.

That's life in a way, with one setback you turn it into something else.

I like art, and I honestly want to see where it will take me.

I am not your puppet, so don't act as if you control me at all.

I am James Brooks, and after what happened I have become a new person.

So I hope you could accept that and deal with the fact that things have changed.
