Introduction
Darkness... For a while, it's all he has seen besides the dreams... Of the two, he preferred the darkness. At least it didn't rip through his soul, like a blow from god himself. But now, he sensed something had changed. And then there was light.
Chapter 1 X to Z to Y?
"Now you've done it raccoon boy!" yelled the winged reploid, which had found the Capsule labeled Y. He had called over Reaper to examine it once he discovered the control panel. His brother, appropriately named Reaper due to the sickle on his arm and his Quantum Strafer, had messed around with the controls, accidentally letting the contents loose. Vibe and Reaper watched as the smoke cleared, revealing what appeared to be a casual clothed Reploid, which had none of the usual characteristics which make them stand out from a human. On closer inspection, he seemed to be more of an Androbot, as he fell forward, into Vibe's outstretched arms.
"Where am I? When is this?" he said weakly as a message came up on the screen of an old man, unknowns to the two to be Dr. Light.
"Whoever has found this capsule, please take care of Photon-Y. He is my last heir... and the first step towards the future of robotics as you have found the final step." It stated as the now named Photon-Y regains his composure. Vibe and Reaper looked on in surprise, they could figure out who was the final step, but knew no history of this 'bot which stood before them.
Vibe cleared his throat and said, "You're in Lost Tokyo, 25XX. We found you in this capsule." Meanwhile Reaper was peering out of the building they were in. He had an expression of nervousness upon his face. All of a sudden, he ducked back and motioned for the others to do the same. Photon, confused to what is happening, silently looked in the direction of the door. He saw a few more reps, all looking like high tech bikers.
"Who are they?" Photon asked quietly.
"Scavengers. They've been raiding these abandoned buildings, taking Reploid remains and selling them. Reap and me were trying to stop them when we got chased in here. Stay back Y, we can handle them if need be," Vibe stated silently. Y nodded, but had a strange look on his face. Just then, Reap slipped, banging into a wall and attracting the attention of the scavengers. Vibe and Reaper fell into position, ready to defend their newfound friend. But Y leaped in front of them, just as he was aflame with blue energy. When it died down, He was adorned in armor, with eyes ablazing with energy.
"I can handle them guys, " He said blankly, before charging energy around his fist and firing it past the scavengers, scaring them off. But the force of power seemed to hold a price as Y collapsed, reverting to normal.
"Well that's something new, " A new voice exclaimed from the shadows, startling Vibe and Reaper. It turned out to be the azure avenger, Protoman. He walked over to Y and started to pick him up. "Well, are you coming to keep an eye on your friend or not? There's something familiar about him and I only know one place which has the stuff we'll need to revive him," he stated before walking off, closely followed by the two.
