I own nothing!
"I can't believe this is happening!" Stein looked around the crumbling room that looked cheap and dirty. For the first time in what felt like twenty years real fear was present in his eyes and deep in his soul.
Sitting in front of him was a little girl sleeping in a bundle of yellow blankets. She had pale ivy skin with a little tuff of black hair that fell slightly into her eyes. Even with them closed he had already memories her dark violet right eye and golden-yellow left eye. She had small brown freckles that danced across the bridge of her button nose.
Stein felt his heart melt as she heard her give a little yawn before looking up at him with her beautiful eyes.
"I love you so much, but I can't take care of you by myself. You see about eight years ago Mommy and daddy had a little boy who dies. Then you had a twin sister with you but she didn't make it either. So mommy was so scared she couldn't take care of you." Stein sighed as he tried to sooth his head ache and heart ache. He could already feel the tears coming just talking about Stanly and Christian.
"Goo Gob Gee!" The baby cried happily as she bounced in Steins arms.
"Don't worry though, there is this women. She says she wants nothing more than to love and take care of you. Her family is really rich, but she can't have kids so she was looking for one when she heard about you. Besides the DWMA says if I work for them I can't have a child."
"Goo!"
"Stop doing that." Stein scowled the little bundle as he watched his baby play with his golden wedding ring. "I really can't take care of you. After tonight you'll have someone who can."
"Bubby!"
"So…" Stein watched the girl as she looked at him. He watched her give a small yawn before cuddling deeply into his side. The man looked around the room as the girl slept happily in his arms before bringing her closer to him.
"Don't even think about it Stein. You couldn't raise a sponge. Don't think about how cute and lovable she is. Or how much you like her being close because you are not keeping her. I refuse to let you talk yourself into it." Stein muttered. "There is a women who would love her coming to…raise my child. What would she be raised believing?"
Stein sat thinking till the sun rose and well into late afternoon. Only thinking about one thing 'What will my baby be raised believing."
