-Black And White-
-A 'Final Fantasy VII' drabble-

They were obviously the stunning contrast of Black and White, but at the same time they fitted each other like Yin and Yang.
Cloud was the introverted Black, seemingly curled up within himself and only giving out light if it was relevant to the situation at hand. When in battle he moved as if he were a shadow, the only thing his enemies seeing before their ends was the glint of First Tsurugi.
Tora was the extroverted White, seemingly as open as a book and only closing her pages to those she mistrusted or didn't like. When in battle she moved like a timed explosion, showing up in various places and blowing away her enemies with spells or shots.
All their friends could see that their polar opposites were what made them strong and those opposites helped seal the weaknesses of the two of them to create a stronger bond. Cloud's brooding nature and careful personality helped to keep Tora's wild emotions in line, while Tora's compassionate nature and optimistic personality helped to open Cloud up to various situations and people. But at the same time some of Cloud's darker traits were present in Tora, and some of Tora's lighter traits were present in Cloud, even if they weren't the dominating features of their personality.
All this came to their attention after Tifa made the comment that they acted like the north and south ends of a magnet.
"Really?" Tora looked at Cloud, "I hadn't noticed it."
"I don't push you away." the blond replied simply.
"And I don't push you away."
"Not literally!" Tifa cried, "I mean that you two are total opposites, yet you work together and form a really strong bond."
"Oh..." The orphanage owner smiled at her partner, "I guess we do, don't we?"
"And it's only going to get stronger." Cloud confirmed, giving a small smile of his own.
