Mirror, Mirror
Hermione was ashamed to say that, yes, she had nicked Harry's invisibility cloak. Rule breaking, although she had warmed up to it since meeting Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, was not in her nature. But innocent curiosity wasn't a crime, right? After all, she just wanted to see what all the fuss about this mirror was.
So Hermione swung the cloak onto her shoulders, lifting it to cover her head as she crept quietly out of the Gryffindor common room and into the dim hallways of Hogwarts.
Following the twists and turns Harry had mentioned when describing how her found the room, Hermione came to a door. Inside she saw a fairly large mirror against one of the walls.
Hermione hurried up to the mirror in expectation and her face flushed a shade somewhere between excitement and embarrassment when she looked into the reflecting glass.
What she saw was herself, although older, holding hands with none other than an also older Ron Weasley. There were little frizzy red-haired children running about them. Hermione couldn't tell how many there were.
Hermione threw the cloak back over her head and hurried back to the Gryffindor dormitories, never intending to tell anyone about what she saw.
