I Don't sleep.

"My room," He informed me, opening it and pulling me through.

His room faced south, with a wall sized window like the great rooms below. The whole back side of the house must be glass. His view looked down n the winding Sol Duc River, across the untouched forest to the Olympia mountain range.

The western wall was completely covered with shelf after shelf of cds. His room was better stocked than a music store. In the corner was a sophisticated looking sound system, the kind I was afraid to touch because I'd be sure to break something. There was no bed, only a wide inviting black leather sofa.

"No bed?" I asked.

"No, I don't sleep."

My eyes bulged at his confession.

"Ever?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Never." He said finally.

A thought then occurred to my mind.

"That makes some sense but then it doesn't." I said and he chuckled at my response.

He walked over to me, placing his arms around my waist.

"How does it make sense?" he asked amused.

"Well you all have a sort of purple skin under your eyes like bags but not, so it makes sense because it looks like you all need more sleep." I admitted.

"Your right that does make sense." He admitted.

"If you all don't sleep then where does your energy come from, especially Alice and Emmett. They are always so full of energy yet they don't sleep, it doesn't make sense..." I trailed off.

Edward gave me a puzzled look.

"Your right once again, though I cannot answer where our energy comes from because we don't know." He said truthfully.

I bit my lip in anticipation for my next question.

"If you don't sleep, ever, what do you do with all that extra time?" I asked.

Booming laughter erupted at the door, where Alice and Emmett stood watching us.

I shot them an annoyed look.

"You have fun telling her." I heard Emmett say before he erupted in more laughter and left Edward and I alone.

"What the hell?" I asked.

Edward looked a little amused but it was covered by annoyance.

"One hundred years of no sleep, does make some funny and bad experiences over the years." Edward said.

"I want to hear some." I said.

"I could tell you every single one, but most of them comprise of me watching you sleep or reading or something to do with music." He said.

"Hold on, watch me sleep?" I asked.

He looked like he had been caught red handed as though he hadn't really intended to say that.

"It's fascinating. I sit in the rocking chair, almost every night and watch you sleep." He said.

"I sleep talk" I said thinking out loud.

"I know." He said and I blushed.

I got myself out of his grasp and sat myself on the black leather sofa, Edward came and sat next to me and I laid on him slightly.

"Can I hear a funny night first?"

"Anything you want, love." Edward said.

I shuffled a little bit waiting for Edward to launch into his story.
