A Change of Odyssey

Introduction

Hello, I'm MangoSmoothie, and it's a Sunday morning, the virtual world is dull at the moment and I have nothing better to do then write. Sorry, I'm being a bit lazy at this particular time, and the text is a bit sloppy to be my work. Anyway, nevertheless, please, enjoy. (Also will continue, fanfiction is a work in progress)

Chapter one

The sky had an absence of clouds, and the sun was shining intensely through the green leaves of the trees. A breeze rippled softly through the jade vegetation out-skirting White Tail Woods, and rustled the long stems of grass in the meadow. A large something began to stir, carrying fright into the atmosphere. The birds began to hush, and the bunnies took off to hide. The deer and the foxes fled, while the butterflies took to the sky. And not only that, but even the forest seemed to hold its breath. It was black in color, and had an eerily familiar shape. Two insect wings where placed just above its shoulder blades, and it had disturbingly taut skin which mainly cradled its ribcage and cheeks. Another feature to its already grotesque visage was a pair of bone white carnassials jutting from its upper gum and sharpening to a very thin point just below its chin. Also two large blue orbs as eyes.

Tak stood, blinking multiple times before advancing out into the light. He traveled for a few minutes before coming to a halt, his head tilted slightly as he peered down at a set of rusted train tracks just ahead of him. He knew it was necessary to cross, as long as he wanted survival, but he must do so with caution, because if he didn't, he could easily be run over by a train. And he did, with a couple of quickened strides; Tak had crossed, although wasted little time congratulating himself.

A loud noise broke out, as Tak heard words spill into the air. "Hey, can't you at least give me a ride? Look, I'm going to be late for something very important if you don't!" He knew it must be ponies, as not many other sorts of creatures spoke in the country of Equestria. He began to stalk the following sounds, and eventually he came to spy on a rather handsome stallion and a very elderly looking stud, although he couldn't see the object that was going to transport the either of them, but that was beneath all of Tak's concerns.

Tak left the scene alone and turned away, making as much distance as possible before temptation took over him and his horn began to light up in a vibrant shade of green, before energy began to throb underneath his hooves and bathe him in its glow, and not before long there was a sudden change of appearance, and the light had disappeared. He was a pony, his coat a shade of beige, a chocolate colored mane running down the length of his neck, a forelock growing from his forehead nearly in an identical brown as his other hair, including his newly formed tail. The only accessories he had managed to conjure was a scarlet red bow tie wrapping around his neck and a suitcase at his side. Lastly, as he turned his head in the direction of his rump, he realized there was an image of a notepad and pencil.
