Humphry was a wolf turned monster he couldn't look Kate in the eye even one the wedding dat he felt grief a hole was in his heart that he couldn't fill. everything went bad at poat when the other wolves got an injection he got toxin a pure black substance that could kill but Humphry lived and suffered the price he remembered the first time he a transformed in to the thing poat created him

Humphrey walked through poat he kept getting glanced at as if he was an outsider. he headed to the arena where he was to prove he could live. He saw a female wolf she was his age golden-brown with blue eyes she didn't look at him funny she walked up to him and smiled "im Krista"
" Humphry"
"pleased to meet you"
"pleaser all mine"
"are you heading to the arena"
" yeah"
"here let me lead you there" she walked him to the arena where he was to battle "i`ll see you after" and she walked over the stands and sat down he walked to a large silver platform and waited to battle. they lifted up to a wooded area "this I can fight in" he thought he sniffed for a scent and finally he found the scent he ran to the scent and saw a brown wolf with green eyes he leapt at the unsuspecting wolf the wolf and bit and clawed and scratched and the other wolf fought back he felt pain course through him the wolf cowered in fear Humphry sliced the wolf's neck he felt the blood on his paws it was sticky and warm he walked to the river that he pasted on the way to battle. then he saw why the wolf cowered in fear his fur was black as night his claws were 3 inches long and his eyes scared him they were red like blood they looked heartless like they could kill anyone. he walked out of the arena and Krista looked at him like she had earlier kind and gentle innocent "aren't you scared" he asked
"no im not scared of you Humphry" she smiled at him kind and gentle "because I know how you feel to an outcast"
"well then can I escort you to dinner" he asked
"im starving" she laughed and they walked to dinner hall they were friends for years after

shuddered and a tear ran down his face as her remembered her death she tried to help him and she got killed he last words to him were " i made a promise that I intend to keep" and she lead him to a hole where he could get out but the guard caught up to him when the got back she was limp on the ground covered in blood "Humphry" he spun around as his mate Kate said his name "what are you doing"
"remembering a friend she died trying to save me"
"oh Humphry im so sorry" he couldn't say its ok or I know you are he stayed silent she sat down beside him "whats was here name "
"Krista" she nodded and stared out over the lake " Humphry let's go I need you to see something" he got up and followed her he saw the stream that marked poats land he leapt over it hesitantly and followed Kate to a clearing "stay here" Kate said and walked forward to the edge and whispered something and a wolf that was as old as Humphrey "Krista"
"Humphry is that you" he nodded she ran up to him and hugged he hugged her back he looked at Kate "Kate how`d you"
"shw was unconsius and covered in blood me and my mother saved her" kate explained everything krista told him how his mother asked her to keep the promise that she would watch over him and keep him safe if he ever returned he welcomed krista to the pack
