Chapter 1: The First Victim
A sleepy black hedgehog lay in bed not able to get any rest, thinking. Just thinking. He got to his Boredom peak and decided he needed to take a walk. He headed to Downtown Station Square. Not many people were up but there was still cars going back and forth through the streets.
He was awoken from his thoughts from the sound of a scream. He ran towards the source as fast as he can, which really didn't take him long because he could run at the speed of sound. A purple haired girl was getting man handled by a gigantic fox. The girl looked like she was putting up a good fight, because the man looked like he was having trouble with her.
"Are you gonna stand there or are you gonna help me?" She asked in a ragged sound. The black hedgehog sprung to action by punching up on the foxes arm breaking it in the process. He took the girls hand and ran as fast as he could while still holding her hand.
"Can you please let go of me? I can run myself." She said in a sheepish tone. He gave her a surprised look then stopped and let her down. "What's your name?" She asked him. "I'm Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog."
He introduced. "I'm Tamara, Tamara the Hedgehog." She introduced just following what he did.
Shadow was beginning to think that the fox was chasing them. He was hearing things around them. "Do you need an escort home?" He asked still not sure weather to leave her alone. "I don't have a home." This snapped him out of his paranoia. For he could think for a girl that looked so young would have a home. "How old are you?" He asked. He still knew nothing about her.
"14. Enough with the questions already." She started to walk back to wherever she came from."Where are you going?" He asked her. She didn't turn around but in the most familiar laid back tone she said, "Wherever the wind takes me." She said and ran off.
The thought of her going off alone was an uneasy feeling but he could do nothing because he wasn't her Father. Shadow decided to leave it be and head home he had enough for a night.
Morning
Shadow awoke still in a haze from last night. He was still deciphering if that girl had made it back to wherever she was supposed to go. He could have sworn she was exactly like Sonic, the hero of mobius. Shadow didn't let much of it go to his head, only that a 14 year old girl was about to get murdered last night.
What really bothered him was that the fox that was going to kill her get away. "For all I know he could've killed any other person." Shadow said. Giving in and turning on tv to take his mind off things.
"This just in a white fox was found dead, tied to a tree in station square park. Her eyes are cut out and glued to her hands. She is believed to be Sarah Walnut. A normal woman who works at Tasty Burger. She told her husband she was going to a late night jog and she never returned."
"In other news..."
Shadow just sat on the couch dumbfounded. He knew he should have killed the guy when he had the chance. He was also furious at himself for letting him get away. He suddenly jump from the couch and left the house. Looking for the girl he had left alone.
