Author's Note: This is based on a fourth season episode of The X-Files except that it's altered to fit into the Star Wars universe and it's not a crossover. This is my first Star Wars fan fiction in two years so please be gentle.

I want you to live. Live for me. – Buffy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Qui-Gon Jinn sat in a room inside a detention center in Coruscant. Sitting across from him was a young woman with auburn hair and ocean-blue eyes. She looked deeply troubled as far as Qui-Gon could tell. She was a beautiful young woman but troubled. The young woman looked at Qui-Gon with sad and tearful eyes.

"My name is Sarah-Lee Nundi. I'm twenty-five." She said in a flat unemotional voice.

Same age as Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon thought.

"Sarah-Lee, I'm going to ask you a few questions." He said.

"All right." She replied in the same tone.

"Where are you from?" Qui-Gon asked.

Sarah-Lee looked as she was going to cry. "I don't know." She said.

"What about your family? Where do they live?" he asked.

"M-my real family is here." She said. Her eyes filled with tears.

"How long have you been living with them?" Qui-Gon asked in a gentle voice.

"A year." She replied in a broken voice.

Just then Qui-Gon's apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi walked in the door. Sarah-Lee looked up and when her eyes met his. She ran from her seat, threw herself against Obi-Wan and burst into tears.

"My love! My love!" she sobbed. "You've come back to me. Oh, my love you've come back to me."

Obi-Wan stared at the weeping young woman confused and in shock then at his Master. Qui-Gon looked at his apprentice with the same look.

Later…

Qui-Gon sat on his bed in the quarters he shared with Obi-Wan. He was about to turn off the light and lay down in bed when he heard a cry through the bond he shared with him.

No! Stop! Master!!

Qui-Gon broke into a run toward Obi-Wan's room and found his apprentice in his bed tossing, tuning and crying.

Obi-Wan! Padawan! Are you all right?

Master! Help her! Save her! Don't let them take her away from me!

Obi-Wan screamed and flew up in the bed. Qui-Gon quickly sat down on the bed and caught his apprentice in his arms. The young Padawan buried his face in his Master's shoulder and sobbed uncontrollably. Qui-Gon held him and rubbed his shaking shoulder as he cried.

"Master. It was awful." Obi-Wan sobbed.

"What did you dream about, Padawan?" Qui-Gon asked fearing that he already knew the answer.

"The young woman, Master. She was been tortured and she cried out a name I didn't regonize but I kept yelling a name that I didn't know. I was also being tortured. She then stopped screaming and was silent. They killed her. Oh, Gods! They killed her!!"

Obi-Wan buried his face deeper into his Master's shoulder and sobbed harder. Qui-Gon held him and comforted him.
