I feel the Christmas-y love right now, so I thought I'd make a Christmas-y oneshot! Harvest Moon, of course!!!!! It's actually kinda angsty...

Disclaimer: I don't own Harvest Moon... it's such a shame...

The Perfect Christmas

In Forget-Me-Not Valley, Christmas was big. And when I say big, I mean everyone puts all their energy into it.

I am just a lonely little furry beast most of the time, but on Christmas, even I am welcome to join in the fun.

Every year, Vesta dresses up as a man that people call Santa Claus and amuses the children. She goes to the Inner Inn where Tim and Ruby prepare a feast for everyone, even me, Murrey, and the Harvest Sprites. Then we watch the children go sit on Santa's lap near a beautifully decorated tree.

Jared and Daisy, the children of Jack and Celia, are usually the first to see Santa and get their presents. Jared usually gets a stuff animal or a new fishing rod, since he wants to be just like his father. Daisy likes getting new dresses or dolls, as any normal girl would. Jack and Celia are very proud of their happy little family.

Then there is Cassandra, Nami and Gustafa's daughter. Gustafa passed on a few years ago, leaving his girlfriend alone with a daughter. Nami eventually got a job making deliveries around the valley for some money to support her daughter. Unlike Daisy, Cassandra likes more artsy things like paints and crayons.

Muffy and Griffin's son, Daniel, is usually up to see Santa next with Thomas, Hugh and Kate's son. Both of them like getting footballs, baseballs, baseball gloves, soccer balls, etc. The two boys are the best of friends which is good, since Daniel spends so much time at Thomas's house. Muffy and Griffin fight more and more everyday, making the bar an even worse place for the poor child.

Finally, David, Flora and Carter's son, and Trisha, Lumina and Rock's daughter, go up to see Santa. David mostly gets collectable things like stamps and bottle caps while Trisha gets many different kinda of instruments. More examples of the perfect families of Forget-Me-Not Valley.

After Santa gives out all his gifts, he walks back to Vesta's farm and gets out of those ridiculous red clothes. Vesta will walk back and greet everyone with some fresh fruit, and return home again with Marlin by her side.

Normally, it's way past the children's bedtime and it's time to go home. One by one, everyone returns home. Although I leave, I don't return home. And because I don't, I learned the truth.

Celia wouldn't go straight home to the farm with Jack and the kids. Instead, she'd meet Marlin up by the waterfall for some alone time. Next month, I think she'll be starting to show. So much for their little secret.

Muffy tends to stay at the Inner Inn on Christmas night, letting Daniel and Cassandra share Rock's old bedroom while she shares a bed with Nami. I don't think the two of them are fooling anyone anymore.

Normally, Flora doesn't go right home either. She'll stop by the bar for a drink and most of the time won't be heading home until morning, sometimes forgetting her bra behind the bar.

You'd think Rock and Lumina would at least be happy, but she doesn't know that he stays down at the beach for an extra hour each Christmas Eve not to watch the ocean, but to spend time with Kate, whom he claims he feels nothing for.

Yes, Christmas is a big holiday every year in the valley. Why?

Because it's the one time of the year the people of Forget-Me-Not Valley are truly with the one they love.

The End

I know, it's not a very Christmas-y story. Oh well... Merry Christmas! And for those who don't celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays! R & R!
