-1A/N: It's been awhile, schools crazy with SOL preparation. So to get back in the game, I thought I'd write a one-shot.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Standing there in a dress that cost more than her car, she realizes this isn't what she wants. She didn't want a big wedding, or that damn pianist who keeps playing Chopin's Minute Waltz over and over. She didn't want the yellow roses or the red dahlia's. The silk taffeta brides maid gowns made her noxious. This wasn't how it was supposed to be, neither Lorelai or Lane were here.

No matter how many times she said it, she knew she could never get used to it. Rory Huntzberger. She could never be the trophy wife he wanted. This has nothing to do with Logan, she was never in love with him. Logan was nothing she ever wanted. Blonde, rich and a total jackass. He didn't share her love of reading, neither did they have the same taste in music. Logan didn't get her sarcasm or the jokes between mother and daughter.

He doesn't know her know her. Logan doesn't know that her eye twitches when she lies or that she always wished her eyes were green. He's always had a privileged life, he doesn't know what it's like to grow up without a father.

It hits her like a ton of bricks. She can't marry Logan because he's everything he isn't. She should've realized it sooner, her whole relationship was based on the fact Logan didn't remind her of him, but all along she'd been comparing them.

She misses his coffee-colored eyes, and his unruly black hair. She misses talking about books and mocking Glitter. Rory wishes she could back in time, to when his hands roamed her body freely. Her fingers fit perfectly with his, and it was as if their tongues were made to mesh. She reads the messy handwriting in the margins of her books over and over. Rory can't watch Almost Famous without crying because it was his favorite.

Rory wonders idly when she became this person. The person who sleeps with married men and lets her boyfriend treat her like shit. When did she become the girl who forgives her boyfriend for cheating on her. The person who steals a yacht, and celebrates with a felon party. She finds a pen in a nearby desk and a bunch of post-it notes. She scribbled a short message and left it where someone would find it.

She feels the weight lift off her shoulders as she opens the car door. HelloGoodbye's Oh It is Love filled the air. Before she realized it, she was on her way to Philadelphia. It wasn't until she saw Truncheon that she started to freak out. What if he moved on? Rory felt tears sting her baby blue's as she leaned against the steering wheel.

Jess was looking out the window when she pulled up. He'd recognize her car anywhere. A mix of emotions overwhelmed him .Why was she here? Twenty minutes later and no one got out of the car. He decided to bite the bullet.

Rory jumped when she heard knocking on the window. She rolled down her window embarrassed, Jess wore his trademark smirk.

"Nice outfit."

She let out a nervous chuckle, she was still wearing her wedding dress.

"Why are you here, Rory?"

"I was supposed to get married today."

"And?"

"I couldn't do it. He's just not…"

"Right."

"And I'm starting to think coming here was a bad idea, so I'm just going to go."

"You never answered my question."

"I was thinking that maybe we could start over, but I bet you've moved on."

"I haven't. I guess I just never found the right girl."
