A/N This story takes place after the Law and Order episode Dazzled.
It was a beautiful May morning. It was the weekend Claire had off from work. So once Jom woke up Claire asked him if he wanted to go visit his sister in prison. He said he would love to visit his sister. So after they ate breakfast they leave for Rikers Island to visit her. Since Jim didn't know why his sister killed their stepmom he asked Jenny why she did it.
Jenny tells him it is a little hard to explain. So she asks her mom if she would like to stand somewhere else while she explains this to him. Once Jenny was done explaining it to her little brother their mom came back over and sat down to the seat she vacated so she didn't have to hear the story a second time. Once was enough for Claire to hear that story. Once the visitation was over Claire and Jim want out to lunch at McDonald's.
Then Claire and Jim went back to her apartment. Jim asked Claire why she stood over in the corner when Jenny wasexplaining what happened to their stepmom. Claire tells him that when he waited outside of the office of an assistant district attorney's office and Jenny was telling her, their dad and the two ADAs in front of her lawyer that she broke down as Jenny was telling the story. She also said that she begged Jenny to stop and it made her cry.
