(A/N :) Hi guys! I am working on my story "You must really…" but this I made because I had a really cool dream last night and I put it into a Maximum Ride Story! So I'll cut to the story! I hope you review because the review button just had a really bad breakup, and it needs a finger hug…

Enjoy!

[By the way, congratulations to my friend limegreen124, who is now in a relationship! You go Lime!]

Max Pov.

Let me start off by saying that I now HATE Halloween. Why, you ask? This story does not even take place during Halloween! Because that horrid holiday gives the image that zombies and vampires and other monsters are NOT real, and that they are funny. Those things are NOT true. This is a list that will explain a little bit about monsters.

They are real.

They are NOT funny.

They are dangerous.

Yes I am going to tell you why.

It was eighty-one degrees spring day in Arizona. The flock and I had just left my mom's house and we were about twenty miles out of Phoenix. We stopped in a meadow that led into a thick forest. As the Flock sat down on the cool grass and unfurled our wings, I took out granola bars for everyone. We didn't have anything to drink, so Nudge and Angel volunteered to go down to a creek with our canteens to get some fresh water.

"Good idea girls, just stay together. Ok?" I told them. They nodded OK, and raced down to the creek, out of sight.

Fang came and sat next to me. We sat there in silence; the only sound between us was the crackling of our teeth crunching the granola bars. I broke the silence by getting my mind on leader mode.

"Well, we should start getting ready for tonight. We need to set up tent, get a fire going, collect the water from Nudge and Angel, set a watch patrol, make sure-"

"Max!" Fang cut in. "Holy crap! Take a breather. Gosh." He got up and walked away.

Was I working them to hard? Was I being like a dictator? Could I-

"AHH!" a blood curdling scream pierced the air like a knife into flesh. It was Nudge. Next was,

"MAX, MAX, MAX, MAX!" Followed by something that puzzled and scared me…

-This is a line that separates the paragraphs from each other and makes smile right now admit it!-

What the heck?

"Nudge, Angel!'' I screamed. I raced down the hill towards the creek and ended up bumping into the two girls. They were crying, and hugging me, pulling on my jacket, pulling me away.

"Girls, what's wrong?"

"GO! Max, go! Please, let's go! Move MAX!" they screamed, while sobbing their eyes out. Their faces were frozen in fear. Their eyes were wide open and small tears seeping out of them. Their mouths were wide open, gasping with sobs. I held them close to me, and looked over my shoulders, my eyes popping out with what I see. Then it was my turn to scream, because behind me were…were…were…

ZOMBIES!
