Deception
--
It was funny, really, Aizen couldn't help thinking in one of his solitary tea session.
Aizen usually spent a few hours alone in his room a day, where he had his favorite tea as he enjoyed the calm privacy he seldom had. Normally, he would use the time to contemplate complicated issues that had arisen in his quest to step higher than God. However, this time, he found his thoughts drifted to a certain blonde-haired man instead.
Urahara Kisuke, Aizen thought as he sipped his green tea, was a…scintillating man.
While they shared many similarities in their qualities, Aizen Sousuke and Urahara Kisuke had individualities that differed as much as night and day. While both of them were undeniably intelligent, manipulative, talented and even devious, they utilized these qualities differently, unique to their own sense of self. Aizen had always found that Urahara wasn't ambitious enough, and hence, wasting the natural-born brilliance given to him.
Strangely, though, both Urahara and Aizen found pleasure in one unlikely source; and that was their deception. The carefully constructed façades that lulled those around them into false sense of security. One they should never have around the likes of them. Aizen weaved the illusion of kindness while Urahara used the pretense of an insecure idiot. The strong sense of pleasure that developed when those around you fell unthinkingly to your pretense was fulfilling. Aizen could easily detect the same thing in Urahara, after all, birds of a feather flocked together.
However, it never failed to irritate him that Urahara's sloppy pretense could achieve a result parallel to his painstakingly and time-consuming fabrication.
Of course, he could always take pleasure knowing the fact that while Mayuri had seen right through Urahara, Aizen still managed to make a fool out of him like he did everyone else.

I hope this sounds alright. I always felt that the whole bleach plots are more or less Aizen and Urahara trying to outplay each other, and i can't help notice that they both tried to hide their real personalities behind a fake exterior.
