ME: This is 1-1 Marines, coming to you from Canada! Some storm's been affecting my Internet connection, so this might be late. My Christmas story for this archive got taken down by the administrators. I don't really have a clue why it got taken down, but don't start a revolt or anything because I'm not in position to become a new administrator.
I'm not the Heartthrob of America, so please excuse me if any romance in this story is screwed in any form.
For Sanya Jeisel, ex-AgriCorps worker and Padawan of Jedi Knight Etain Tur-Mukan, this winter had a particularly nice feel to it.
Of course it was unnatural and out of place on Coruscant. Apparently some technician for Weather Control accidentally hit the Big Red Button. Rather than starting off a series of volcanic eruptions, Galactic City found itself covered in snow.
Sanya didn't know when the "problem" seemed to be fixed, but no one in the Jedi Order seemed to mind. Except for Master Mace Windu, but he always just had to be that guy.
A few Younglings ran around, playfully throwing snowballs at each other with the force. She remembered her own time as one of them, one of the more mediocre members of her clan with a lightsaber. Her Trials had gone even worse, so for a present on her thirteenth birthday Sanya got shipped off to Ukio.
Now she was here on Coruscant. Master Tur-Mukan was now assigned to her. A big sister figure for the young Devaronian, her mentor wasn't Anakin Skywalker but what mattered to Sanya was that whatever training she had flunked, Tur-Mukan would rather insult Grand Master Yoda than abandon her.
"Hey Sanya!"
She turned around to find Tyzen Xebec, a Zabrak Padawan and the apprentice of Jedi Knight Keelyvine Reus. Even though she had earlier confronted him about his "wash out" remark, the two had become fairly close.
"Tyzen?" she asked uncertain. Then she noticed the two mugs in his hands.
"Ahsoka told me you went outside for some reason," he answered in some ways but not others. He held up the mugs. "I got hot chocolate."
"Oh Force," she nearly swore. "Thanks, I was actually starting to get cold!"
"Marshmellows or whipped cream?"
She smiled. "I prefer marshmellows. You can have the whipped cream."
They both sat down. Sanya sipped her drink, relishing the warmth and the rich flavor.
Suddenly she flashed Tyzen a show of her teeth once again, her purple eyes glistened.
"Glad you liked it," Tyzen ventured uncertainly.
"Let me give you something," she said.
Before anything else could be done, she leaned in and kissed him on the lips. It was brief but made the connection.
She laid back as Tyzen stood there, shocked beyond belief for a while.
"Okay, we both just violated code," he said as the color returned to his face and he smirked, "but whatever you owed me, consider that debt gone."
Suddenly a familiar voice rang out. "TYZEN!"
ME: UH-OH! Someone's in trouble...
Should I continue or leave this as a one-shot?
