"Lily, you look lovely tonight…" James said breathlessly as he held his new wife in his arms. He saw his friends and his family all beaming at them as they danced their first dance. He was so glad that his father had accepted Lily into the family, though being reluctant at first because of the little matter of her being muggle born. But none the less, she was apart of the family now. James couldn't have been any happier.
As their wedding song had finally come to a stop, the crowd of loved ones all congratulated the couple again. James looked around to see where his best friend, Sirius Black, had gotten to, but had a sudden realisation of his whereabouts.
"PRONGS!!! PRONGS MY BOY!! CONGRATUALTION'S MATEY!!"
"Woah there, Padfoot. Isn't it time to put down the mead?"
"IT'S NEVER TIME TO PUT DOWN THE BLOODY MEAD!! IT'S YOUR WEDDING NIGHT FOR MERLIN'S SAKE!! COME ON!!"
James simply laughed at Sirius' drunken rants and escorted him away from the bar. It was no surprise to him that Sirius would be off his face early into the night and he actually found it quite amusing. James then spotted his other best friend, Remus Lupin, quietly chatting to a young witch. "Yes, yes, James and I go way back. I've known him since our very first ride on the Hogwarts Express… Oh, hello Prongs! Was just talking about you! Excuse me…" Remus joined James as they walked outside onto a balcony over looking, London.
Remus chuckled. "Never in a million years would I have thought that you would be marrying Lily Evans. Lily Evans!!"
"I still can't believe it too… She's great y'know."
"Of course I know she's great, you can't wipe that smile off your face, you git!"
James playfully shoved Remus. He was so thankful that he had a friend like Remus to talk to about anything. And he could also count on him not get too drunk on his wedding night.
"You've been looking better lately, Mooney. How's your furry little problem going?"
"Oh, I'm handling it. I haven't been so sick before, and it's easier coming down."
"You know what? You're the best werewolf I have ever met."
"I'm the only werewolf you've ever met!"
The two friends laughed and gazed out onto the beautiful cityscape of muggle London.
James actually could not believe that his wife was Lily Evans. He'd always been a bit of a boastful boy at school and often strutted around the castle, while Lily was a quiet girl, who had to be top of the class at everything. At first they could not stand the sight of each other, but as time grew on and as James grew up, they had fallen for each other.
"OI!! MAURADERS!! COME HAVE A DRINK WITH PADFOOT!!"
Remus and James laughed at their friend and joined the party inside.
