The attack on New York had shaken everyone, learning that their were people... Things out there humans didn't know about, scared everyone, but like all things it passed. Simmered down into what everyone pretended was just a bad dream.

Eventually everyone moved on with their lives, the Avengers, no longer needing to save the world, had children of their own. Each of them training to be better then their parents were, trying to live up to expectations. Until the day it happened.

Everyone had been doing their own thing, like they usually did. Jayla Barton was in the training room with her Twin sister shyly watching. Parker Banner had snuck into her father's lab like she did every other day and continued her experiments. Kylie was out shopping. Everyone else was scattered around and no one knew their parents went missing until later that night.

It was a Friday, they found themselves alone at the dinner night. It was a little something the Avengers team had decided they would do every once and a while to keep in touch, even Tony agreed, which surprised everyone.

Kylie had been the first to the dinner. Being her usual punctual self, she found herself at the empty table, though she passes it off as everyone else was just running a bit late, after her came the Barton twins, then Atticus Stark, not long after everyone was there... Except their parents.

Everyone idly chatted about school, their training, and other various things, that normal kids talked about... Well mostly normal kids talked about. They had gotten so immersed in conversation that no one noticed the lack of parents until Atticus asked Arabella, "How's you father?"

Looking at his usual seat Bella said simply, "He's good..." her mind suddenly wondering where he and her mother were.

All the teenagers looked at their parents usual seats until Valentine, Jayla's shy twin sister, asked in Jay her usual quiet voice, "Have you seen dad today?"

Jay shook her head slowly, following that was Parker's confession "I haven't seen my dad either... I even set off an alarm... I just thought I'd turned it off before he heard it."

Slowly, everyone realized that no one had seen their parents the entire day, which sent in the panic. Kylie was, of course, the worst her ramblings of what might have happened to them, and Jay was probably the most calm, and was the one who snapped at everyone, "Quit freaking out! Our parents are superheroes, for goodness sake! It's not like they got mugged or something."

A comment which made Parker giggle, and everyone turn to glare at her. She quickly rose her hands in defense "What?! Imagine my dad getting mugged, it'd become national news."

Bella glared at her younger sister with a small hint of irritation.

Jay shook her head with a small sigh before continuing like Parker hadn't say a thing "We just need to figure out what happened to them, their probably fine." Just then Valentine's phone started vibrating.

The shy twin quickly answered it "Hello?" On the other line it was her father, she let out a sigh of relief and looked at Jay letting her know while he talked.

In the middle of their conversation her face went pale, and she nearly dropped her phone as she hung up. Clearing her throat she said slowly, as if she were trying to make sense of the news she'd just gotten "N- Natasha... She... She's been murdered..."

Which made everyone just stop. Natasha was one of SHIELD's best agents, She was the Russian spy everyone aspired to become, and she never let her guard down, so how did something like this happen?
