Summary: In every sane child's mind there is always the knowledge that someone cares for you; Parents, guardians, teachers, pets, God. But what happens to those that have lost that feeling under saddening or strange circumstances? Here is the story of three children whose future's foundation is based on that lost feeling, abandonment and their interwoven thread of destiny.

Child: The Conviction of Love

Part I

"The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."- Victor Hugo

April first, the beginning of this unveiling story, has arrived unknown to this child belonging to a lineage of powerful leaders. His named was almost chosen by the elders in the family yet his beloved mother named him Syaoran without consent of the feared Elders. Unknown to this little boy, she was reprimanded by being forced to kneel down in front of their meeting room for sixteen days straight that cold, rainy winter. No one was to go against them, especially a mere woman.

It all began that April morning. The Elders had requested it. Lies. They demanded it. The boy was sent away to a foreign country in order to gain experiences that they hoped would create another man worthy of becoming the head of the family. They hoped he would become their ideal leader, a heartless, fair and powerful man. "He's only eight years old, "pleaded his mother, "He still needs me." Her cries went on without consideration after all she was not worthy of their ears. And so the boy was sent away without anything except a name and some money. He would later come to think that if his father were still alive everything would have been different.

Today, April first would mark the two year anniversary that the boy has been living in Japan, alone. His was now eleven and was preparing for the entrance ceremony of his sixth year of school. He has been growing into a highly capable and independent young man or so his Clan thought. In truth, he had grown more complex than any of his classmates. He still had yet to discover another that could match his complexity. On this day, God decided to send him a gift that he would come to cherish until his death.

I've reread my first story and found that the true essence of my story was lost into fluff. Anyway, please tell me your thoughts on this remake. Thank you.

PS. One of the reasons I haven't updated was because I lost my password and forgot my email adress. Please look foward to updates now. Thank you very much. I highly appreciate it.
