Soaked
"Nicky what are you doing?" Jackie asked as she walked into the kitchen and noticed he was under the sink.
"I'm fixing the leak."
Jackie sighed.
"I thought you said you were going to call someone to get it fixed?"
"No, I said I'll get it fixed, it's getting fixed." He told her as he shot her a grin.
"Honey, no offense but you are not very handy, you don't have a clue what you're doing."
"Nonsense." He argued.
Not even one minute later water started shooting out of the pipe under the sink. Jackie screamed and raced to get a gallon size empty ice cream bucket to catch the water.
Nick shut the water to the house off. After he dried himself off he grabbed his cell phone.
"I'll call someone." He finally agreed, trying to ignore the glare Jackie was giving him as she begin to clean up the huge mess.
He dialed the number he wanted.
"Hey Greggo." He said into the phone.
Jackie threw up her hands in frustration.
Nick asked Greg to come take a look at his pipe and Greg agreed.
"What is Greg going to do about it? He probably knows just as much as you do, which obviously isn't much." Jackie said, motioning to the huge puddle still on the floor.
"He'll fix it." Nick assured her.
Jackie mumbled something as Nick walked out of the room.
When Greg got there he was surprised at what he saw, the leak was way bigger than he had thought.
"I'll be right back." He told them.
He ran out to his truck and came back moments later with a large roll of duct tape. He duct taped the leaky pipe.
"That will hold it for awhile, but my MacGyver skills aren't that great so I'd still call a plumber if I was you." He advised the couple.
"Thank you Greg." Jackie told him.
"Yes, thanks Greg." Nick echoed.
"Do you watch the old MacGyver or the new one?" Jackie asked.
"Well I've watched every episode from the new series and then I went back and watched a few from the old ones." He replied.
"I've done that too." Jackie stated.
"Which one do you like better?" Greg asked her.
"The new one, but I like Jack Dalton better on the old one. What about you?" She asked.
"The same as you, overall I like the new one way better but I like Jack better in the old one, the new Jack is, I don't know, dense or something."
Jackie smiled.
"Alright, I'm going to head out, I hope you find a plumber that's good." He told the couple.
"Thanks I hope so too." Jackie agreed.
After Greg left Nick got out the phone book and looked up plumbers, he found one and made a call, Nick hoped that he would fix it without duct tape being used!
The End!
I have a question for all of you. IF Nick and Jackie have another baby and it's a girl do you think it would be ok to use the name Natalee? I love that name but I'm not so sure Nick/Jackie should use it, let me know what you think! Thanks!
