A/N: my god has it been awhile since i've seen this, god of wolves here and let me tell you this has been in my drive for awhile i just found it and fixed it up a bit and voila' publishing it enjoy.
"Ruby look out!" Yang yelled at her younger sister, who ducked under the blaster fire as soon as she heard these words. She twisted while she dropped to face the stormtrooper, pulling the trigger and putting a round in his head before running with her sister again to their ship.
"I hope the beacon is ready for take off" Ruby said to her sister Yang over their coms while dodging blaster fire.
"Knowing Penny it's ready" Yang replied throwing a grenade behind her killing a few storm troopers and stunning or confusing the rest.
"Affirmative take off ready the moment you step on board" a female voice spoke on the coms.
"Thanks Penny" Ruby said to the AI which runs their ship quite often for them as well as doing a majority of electronic tasks for them.
"No problem" Penny responded as the two girls lept behind a small wall of boxes while imperial troops gathered a short distance away from the wall forming a line and occasionally sending fire their way pinning the girls.
"Penny we need an evac at our location we're pinned" Ruby said as she and her sister grabbed the weapons they brought E-11s, same guns as the stormtroopers had seeing as their favorite weapons are aboard their ship while Ruby was too finish repairs and upgrades on them. It took a few minutes but thankfully for the girls the storm troopers aim seemed to get further and further with each shot unlike the two girls who kept putting more rounds in the storm troopers taking more and more out with each shot but with each storm trooper to fall more took their place luckily for the girls behind them a starship arrived behind them and began mowing down the storm troopers with on board guns as it opened up for the girls to enter the two girls ran aboard and the doors closed behind them. The two swiftly ran to the bridge as the ship left the platforms and approached the atmosphere.
"Thanks for the save Penny" Ruby said entering the bridge.
"don't thank me yet we have a star destroyer coming in and a dozen tie fighters accompanying it and according to its logs all of them were not aboard that ship" Penny said.
"so a star destroyer with a full hanger and ten back up squads fun ready our single fighter ships we will engaged while you defend and alert us when we are ready to make the jump" Yang ordered Penny "all ready done go to the hanger" Penny said as the girls ran toward the hanger and sure enough Penny had both their single fighter ships ready Yang's was yellow and the design was of an old jedi fighter the sisters found crashed in an asteroid field they grabbed it and Ruby fixed it up while improving it upgrading the lasers torpedoes engines and a few other tweaks (one of which was changing the paint to yellow) Ruby's fighter on the other hand was purely custom made while still based off of the simple design. It was sleek, complete with 4 forward guns, two torpedo launching ports, two missile launching ports, and two forward ion cannons. The engines were also fast enough to outrun a laser when in full throttle. (Also did i mention it's red?)The two girls each entered their respective ship as Penny opened the hangar doors allowing the girls to fly out where they were instantly under fire needing to maneuver as to not get hit Penny was focusing all power on the nav computer and shields knowing Ruby and Yang would handle the tie fighters which they did shooting every tie fighter they saw down while avoiding and fire sent their way.
"destination set return so we can leave" Penny said through the ship's com system the girls flew back to beacon while sending all power to rear deflector shields trusting Penny not to hit them she instead shot at every ship attempt following the bounty hunters the moment the girls ships landed in the hanger Penny sent beacon into hyper drive leaving all remaining imperials pissed that no one could catch two little girls. Meanwhile 'those two little girls' were entering beacon's cockpit joy plastered on their faces as they got closer and closer to the planet vale if you looked at any records it's a deserted planet with primarily forest habitat but no one knows their is a small outpost on the planet belonging to a small family consisting of three mandalorians two sisters and their uncle Qrow branwen shortly after Yang's birth her mother went missing and was presumed dead and shortly after Ruby's birth her mother was killed on a secret mission for a contact grief stricken at both his wife's dying the father of the girls gave the children to his first wife's brother Qrow branwen the mandalorian rouge raised the girls like his own and taught them to be amazing mandalorians once they were old enough and had the skill the girls explored the hostile planet and discovered an escape pod with no human life Ruby repaired the circuits to check any information on it and they discovered their ai friend Penny perfect artificial intelligence no clue about how she got there though, or who built her only that Ruby and Yang where friends and she's been helping the girls ever since. Once beacon landed in the clearing that was used as a landing pad by the three inhabitants of the planet the girls went to the small outpost they lived in with their uncle named patch.
"uncle Qrow we're home" Ruby said with a large smile the unknowing observer would never guess she was just under fire and took on a small army of Imperial stormtroopers.
"bring anything good?" the drunk man asked before taking another bottle out of his personal mini fridge. something to know about Qrow branwen he likes his booze, the girls knew this forever seeing as he raised them after their parents died he was a good man, a former bounty hunter second only to jango fett, almost poetic seeing as his nieces are second only to boba fett as far as bounty hunters go, he is a fairly tall man with black hair slicked back, his two best weapons always on his hips a custom made carbine rifle strong enough to blast through mandalorian armor (after Ruby was done modifying it of course before it was average sniper punch) it was collapsible and often looks like a strange pistol at the man's side and his other weapon has not been seen by anyone (besides him) still alive, always with him always hidden not even the girls he raised have seen the metal handle of a lightsaber that has two modes allowing the man too use it in ether traditional sword fashion or have a large metal pole launch out the side for use as a scythe.
"no just an ambush it's too bad we forgot to check with Jose to make sure the shipment was out their" Yang complained at herself, Jose was a high ranking imperial officer a least as his cover, in reality he was the only information broker the girls went too, as a high ranking imperial he has access to a lot of useful information the girls constantly use on missions the value of the information translates to the price along with some other variables, normally used to increase prices but the two girls never had to pay much for information out of him (there are suspicions he has a crush on Yang who won't admit her obvious crush for him).
"what did I tell ya kiddo always check your info" Qrow responded before taking a large swig from the bottle in his hands.
"I know I know" Yang snapped at the phrase he always said despite her failing to listen on the last mission.
"I hate to interrupt but a hollow communication is coming from Jose, likely about the mission what would you like me to do?" Penny asked.
"put him through, normal protocol" Yang said unconsciously taking off her helmet to fix her long blonde hair, the three occupants of the room faced the table where the image of a man appeared, the man was hairy (people have suspected him to be part wookie before) he was wearing an imperial officer uniform, a hat covered the unkempt hair atop his head but it couldn't hide the facial hair which also happened to be unkempt his mustache and sideburns were fairly long.
"thank god you two are alive, I got a notification of two people matching your descriptions perfectly storming into an imperial complex with nothing in it but troops" Jose said his brown eyes narrowed a little and a slightly angry tone in his voice.
"yea sorry we forgot to check our info with you before going on the job" Yang apologized.
"that wasn't a job that was an attempt at you girls dying that client was an imperial spy tasked on send you girls on a suicide, which I would have told you if anyone called me!" Jose ranted too the three occupants.
"hey don't blame me these girls told me they checked and it was on the up and up" Qrow defended himself.
"Yang said she did it!" Ruby said defending herself.
"either way you girls are now higher up on the empires wanted list they put a high ranking officer on the task of making sure you girls die, luckily for you girls she's under me and is someone who already reports to me so I can keep you ladies one step ahead of her" Jose said.
"thanks Jose" Yang said.
"maybe you and Yang should go out to dinner soon exchange more information have a nice evening" Ruby suggested smirking Yang's face was burning red Jose's face was unreadable as usual, though both Jose and Yang were overjoyed that holograms could not display color.
"okay that could work how does tomorrow on coruscant sound meet me at landing pad A" Jose said a slight smirk on his lips.
"s-sounds fun" Yang stuttered face completely red while Ruby was grinning and excited.
"I know an amazing restaurant my good personal friend is working at tomorrow night you might know him his name is Dylan" Jose said watching Ruby stop her bouncing and celebratory craziness upon hearing that name.
"it appears you do I hope you'll come, you can keep him company when his band is done playing" he said and Ruby began a fit of strange sounds and stuttering which no one could determine the meaning of.
"perfect I'll see you both at 1600 at landing pad A, remember to leave your armor at home don't want anyone to recognise you girls after all" Jose said smirk now clear as he turned the communication off the room was silent for a few moments until a question from Qrow broke it.
"who the hell is dylan?" Ruby went even paler than she was making her look as transparent as a ghost.
"Dylan is the founder lead singer and occasional guitar player for Ruby's favorite rock and roll band 'the disciples of chaos' if you'd like I could play some over the speakers for you" Penny answered with cheer.
"what does she have a crush on him or something" Qrow joked and then he saw his charge lose all blood in her face.
"Oh god" he said smacking his head against the wall dropping the empty bottle from his hand causing it to shatter on the floor a compartment in the wall opened and a small black and white clean up droid came into the room "Thanks Penny" Qrow commented hitting his head again, hand reaching for another beer as he planned to drink until he forgot this conversation.
