It was midday. Rose and John sat infront of their dead parents.
"Rose, do you love me?"John asked suddenly, holding Rose's soft pale hand. She gazed at him in confusion.
"Well of course I do,"she said, kissing his cheek. "Why would you question my love for you?"
"Oh...I don't know... you've been hanging out with Kanaya a lot and...I just sort of got to wondering! Curiosity DID kill the cat!"John laughed.
He started to blush, his geeky smile making Rose laugh with him.
"Rose, you are so beautiful..."John said.
Rose smiled. "I love you John."
John leaned over and kissed Rose. Rose pulled away. "Don't you ever doubt my love for you, boy. I may like Kanaya, but I will always love you. Even when Jack Noir comes.. I may die and go to live in Derse. But part of you occupies my heart, and my heart will still beat when I die."
Jack Noir appeared before the two.
Rose stood up, and glared at Jack. A spiral of a black tornado crashed down towards Rose, entering her Grimdark form. She turned to John, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
Jack wielded his blade from his chest. His eyes were white, and his body was as black as night.
He dissapeared, but appeared again infront of John, his blade piercing through his chest.
John had died.
