Hey, this is my first fanfic! I'm still new to the process, but I hope you like it! Don't forget to rate and review! And now for the story…
Ring!Ring! Tessa awoke groggily to her alarm. She sat up in bed and remembered this was her first day at the London Institute. She groaned. Her parents had sent her to London when she had gotten into one of the best schools in the world. She told them over and over that she didn't have to go, but they insisted it was good for her education. She got out of bed and ate a quick breakfast. She grabbed A Tale Of Two Cities before rushing out the door.
When she arrived at the institute, she was speechless. The building itself seemed very old, but had an elegant feel to it. When she walked in, her first thought had been ' how am I ever going to find my way around here.' After going to the front office to get her schedule, she wandered the place until she bumped into someone.
She looked up to see a beautiful girl with a spill of long brown hair and dark hazel eyes. Across her face was a massive scar that was very noticeable, although she looked kind and friendly.
" Sorry! Oh wait, your the new girl aren't you?" The girl questioned as she looked up.
" Yes, my name is Theresa Gray. Everyone calls me Tessa."
Tessa quietly replied, feeling shy.
" Well, Hi! My name is Sophie! You need help finding your way around this place, Tessa?" Tessa eagerly nodded, happy at having a friend. Tessa and Sophie rushed off to first period, which was English Literature.
After shyly introducing herself to the class as Tessa the new student, she took the only seat available in the group. She turned her head to look at who she was sitting by. She saw a boy, with the perfect complexion, picture perfect black hair, and the most piercing, beautiful blue eyes she'd ever seen. He suddenly looked in her direction, which made her blush a deep crimson. She mentally slapped herself. ' No way!',she thought, ' I won't get caught up over some overrated hot guy'. Tessa realized she'd been zoning out throughout the lesson and was able to catch the last bit. "You and your partner, who is the person you are sitting next to, will be doing a book report explaining the message the author gives for any of the books on this board, this grade is crucial to your semester grade. So good luck." Soonafterhefinishedspeaking, chattering filled the room. She glanced at the board and spotted A Tale of Two Cities on the list. She turned to her partner. He shot a dazzling smile and said "Hey! My name is William Herondale, everyone calls me Will. So, your the new chick?" Tessa sighed. "Yeah. I'm Theresa Gray, please call me Tessa." ,She said in a small voice. " So Tessa, what book do you want to do?" , he smirked. She realized Will could be one of those people who make other people do all the work. " What about A tale of two cities?" Shecasually asked. Will snorted, " I think Sydney Carton is overrated." He retorted with a 'matter of fact' tone.
