Crushed by Reality

The world could be torn asunder if I speak a single word. The despair of that crushes me in a way that no words can adequately express. My friends… are supportive. They are my salve to this never ending night. They brought an end to the aching loneliness that I felt. From knowing them, I have finally learned what it is like to feel joy.
I write this soliloquy to try to etch some of the despair off of my soul. I can't tell anyone that, not in my own voice. So, I write. For an eternity, I will write.
