Ludicrous Tales

He perched on his little bed. Morning came and went and he felt bored. Severus had to stay at home because of the chickenpox. He knelt on his bed and began to draw patterns on the window pane. And felt more bored.

Not allowed to go out and see what the others were doing. No strolling over the garbage dump to find something interesting and to invent a new infernal machine out of nothing. He sighed. He cannot sneak into the pub where the old men perform old music with even older washboards or accompany his father to the carrier pigeon's club and hear them discuss their champions.

He jumped as he heard the clicking noises from the door. Mum was home.

Some more rumbling sounds from the kitchen and then she opened the door and smiled to him. "Have you had a nice day?" she asked. "No." he croaked stubbornly. "It is boring! I've read all my books already and outside the window nothing happened except two crows fighting over a rag!" he complained. "You have to tell me a story now!". She smiled. "All right then." she began.

"Once upon a time there was a boy. He lived in a cupboard under the stairs." Severus snuggled deeper into the cushions and hugged his teddy tight. "Some day the door bell rung and as his evil aunt opened, there stood a half giant." Severus gasped. "He said: Gimme that li'l boy, he is a wizard and I take him to wizard school! The aunt obeyed and fetched the boy from his cupboard. He was very excited to be a wizard now and took the hand of the half-giant. He whistled and hummed all the way to the half-giants hut." Severus' eyes widened. "And?" he asked eagerly. "Well." said his mum, "The half-giant baked the boy in a pie and his children played with his little glasses for a happy long time."

Severus shrieked with laughter. "MUGGLES!" he said.
