Of Snackoos and Prosecutors

When Ema took the time to really think about it, she realized that Klavier Gavin wasn't that bad of a guy. Of course, like any other normal rock star, Klavier was a bit on the conceited side, but Ema didn't let this bother her. He was famous after all. A prosecutor and rock god rolled into one attractive human being? She could understand why girls pined after the man. His blue eyes were truly something to behold. And that smile of his-

Ema stopped the thought at once, rummaging through her Snackoo bag. She made a smug face when she noticed it was empty. No wonder she was having nice thoughts about that glimmerous fop. She bit her lip, contemplating on going to the vending machine to get a smaller bag of Snackoos when she realized she might have an unexpected and unwanted meeting with Klavier.

Maybe it won't be so bad, Ema thought to herself. I haven't seen that glimmerous face of his since he went on that tour to Italy; he should be back today. Shaking her head, she stepped out of her office and towards the vending machines. Her eyes lit up when she saw the Snackoos right next to the Samurai Sodas.

"Since when did they put soda in the vending machine along with the snacks?" Ema heard a familiar voice say.

Crap, Ema thought. She couldn't miss that voice from a mile away. It was-

"Ah, Fraulein Detective! I forgot to stop by your office. I've returned from my Gavinners tour. It was a lot of fun, wish you could've been there." Klavier smiled, putting a few quarters into the machine.

Ema watched the prosecutor, unsure of what to say. Finally, she mumbled a quiet, "Why, so I can stand security like last time?" She felt bad being mean to him, but she noticed it hardly even phased him.

"You may not like my music or me, but having you there means a lot to me. Support or not." Klavier said with a slight smirk, grabbing his purchase that fell from the machine.

"You seem like you're in a bad mood, ja? Here, take this." Klavier held out a bag of Snackoos, raising an eyebrow at Ema's hungry gaze.

Ema blushed, grabbing the bag forcefully from her boss. "T-Thank you, Mr. Gavin."

"You're welcome, Fraulein. Anything for you." Klavier winked.

Ema had the instinct of hitting him, but stopped herself. "I should probably go, now...You know...science is calling me...and stuff." Ema inwardly kicked herself. Forensic scientists do not speak idiot! She scolded.

"See you on the flip side, Fraulein." Another wink.

"Yeah, whatever," Ema managed to mumble as she quickly walked out of the room, Snackoo bag clutched tightly in her hand.

Ema felt her cheeks, noticing they were red hot.

"What the hell was that?" she muttered out loud.
